Product detailed description

Aluminium profile with a square section designed for creating standard structures.

Lightweight option with a weight of 1.87 kg/m.

Connection thanks to 2 grooves on adjacent sides of the profile.

Sides without grooves reduce profile contamination and improve the appearance of the structure.

Made from EN AW 6060 T5 aluminium alloy, anodised layer of more than 12 microns, tolerance according to EN 12020-2.

Available for delivery in large packs - small bundle of 2 bars, large bundle of 100 bars.

Joining profiles

The choice of fixings between different profiles is very important in any assembly structure. The customer can choose from various solutions depending on the required implementation time or the nature of the load or load-bearing capacity.

1. Joining with screws in the groove

This is the simplest and fastest way to assemble. This connection system guarantees good perpendicularity between two surfaces (depending on the profile section) and good resistance of the mutual connection in the transverse direction to the groove.

2. Joining with a continuous screw from the outside of the profile

This is the strongest method of joining, resistant to mutual movement between two profiles. This method of joining provides better perpendicularity of the joint (which, however, depends very much on the care taken in the quality of the cut). This system does not allow movement of parts in the event of screw loss. Drilling the hole can be done with a pistol drill with two diameters.

3. Joining with joints or angles

This method of joining is usually used where the greatest possibilities of adjustment and easy installation are required. Technical specifications for all products can be found in the product details of the relevant accessory.

Profile threads

It is recommended to respect the depth indicated in the table when creating a thread:

Profile Screw diameter Recommended depth (mm)
slot 5 M5 10
slot 6 M6 15
slot 8 M8 25

The maximum tightening torques recommended for screws used in the ALUSIC system are:

Profile Screw diameter Max. recommended tightening torque (Nm)
slot 5 M5 6
slot 6 M6 10
slot 8 M8 20

Compatible accessories for all types of panel connections can be found in the related products tab

How to choose profiles and parts

1. Choose a series

Stick to one series. Bolts, nuts and connectors must match the slot shape of the profile.

2. Choose the size

Choose the section and version by the load: thin and light for frames and guards, heavy for load-bearing structures.

3. Connect

Join the profiles with brackets, connectors or joining plates and slide the nuts into the slot.

4. Complete

Finish the structure with end caps, feet or castors, panels, doors and LED lighting.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the AC, BH and IM series?
The slot shape and the sizes. Some parts fit several series, but always check which slot they are made for.
Is there a profile catalogue in Czech?
Yes. The AC, BH and IM series categories and the HT LED lighting category contain the maker’s catalogue in Czech as a PDF.
What do thin, light and heavy profile mean?
Profiles with the same section and slot differ in wall cross-section. A heavy profile carries more, a light or thin one saves weight.
How do I fit an LED light into a profile?
The HT light goes straight into the 8 mm slot and connects to a power supply. Choose the supply by the light length, for example 20 W for lengths of 250 to 1000 mm.
How do I drill profiles accurately?
The Profile machining categories contain drilling jigs that set the drilling position, drills and adhesives for bonded joints. The maker can also machine profiles automatically from STEP files.
Does ALUSIC make other systems too?
Yes. The maker also has the EVO SP system for safety guards, IS stairs and platforms, carbon fibre profiles, conveyors, linear axes, overhead crane runways, lean manufacturing tubes and joints, solar mounting structures and SICOMAT compressed air piping.

Catalogues in Czech for the AC, BH, IM series and HT LED lighting can be downloaded in the series categories. The maker publishes company and product videos on its YouTube channel.
