WIKA is a German family-run company from Klingenberg am Main, home to its headquarters and main factory. It was founded in 1946 by Alexander Wiegand and Philipp Kachel, and the name combines the first two letters of their surnames. Today the WIKA Group has 11,000 employees and subsidiaries in more than 50 countries, and it measures pressure, temperature, force, level and flow.
We offer WIKA pressure gauges for compressed air, water and aggressive media — stainless steel, glycerine-filled, robust, precision, panel-mounted and low-pressure gauges in mbar — together with industrial thermometers with thermowells and stainless steel pressure sensors with a 4–20 mA output.

Stainless steel gauges
For aggressive media and demanding plants. Case and measuring system in stainless steel, for chemical and food processing.
- 63, 100 and 160 mm dials
- ranges −1 to 1,000 bar
- bottom or back connection
Glycerine-filled gauges
A steady pointer even under vibration. Glycerine-filled stainless gauges withstand vibration and shock and are easy to read.
- 63, 100 and 160 mm dials
- ranges −1 to 1,000 bar
- also for aggressive media
Robust MR gauges
A tough design for non-aggressive media. Steel case, copper alloy measuring system and a large 100 mm dial.
- ranges −1 to 1,000 bar
- accuracy class 1.0
- 1/2″ bottom or back connection
MSF precision gauges
Deviation of no more than 0.6 %. For accurate measurement in control engineering and in the lab.
- 160 mm dial
- ranges −1 to 1,600 bar
- medium up to +60 °C
Panel-mounting gauges
For control panels, machines and lines. With a mounting clamp or a front flange, some also glycerine-filled.
- 40 to 100 mm dials
- back connection 1/8″, 1/4″ or 1/2″
- ranges −1 to 1,000 bar
MK low-pressure gauges
They measure in millibar. For very low pressures and vacuum in gases and liquids.
- ranges −600 to 600 mbar
- 63 mm dial, 1/4″ thread
- medium up to +80 °C
Thermometers and thermowells
Medium temperature in the pipe. TWSS stainless steel and TWAL aluminium thermometers with a back connection into a thermowell.
- 63, 100 and 160 mm dials
- ranges −30 to +250 °C
- thermowells in stainless steel, steel and copper
DMU pressure sensors
Pressure as an electrical signal. Stainless steel pressure sensors for control systems and automation.
- 4–20 mA output, 10–30 V DC supply
- ranges −1 to 1,000 bar
- IP65, 1/4″ or 1/2″ thread

The accuracy class is the maximum deviation as a percentage of the scale range. Smaller gauges usually have a higher class number.
How to choose and fit a pressure gauge
1. Medium
A robust or panel gauge is enough for air and water. For aggressive media choose stainless steel, for industrial gases a gauge made for that gas.
2. Range
The operating pressure should sit roughly between half and two thirds of the scale. For very low pressures in mbar there is the MK series.
3. Size and connection
A larger dial is easier to read. A bottom connection is for mounting in the pipe, a back connection for a panel. 63 mm gauges mostly have a 1/4″ thread, larger ones 1/2″.
4. Fitting
Tighten the gauge with a spanner on the hexagon, never by the case. Seal a parallel G thread with a sealing ring.
Frequently asked questions
- When should I choose a glycerine-filled gauge?
- When the gauge is exposed to vibration or shocks, for example on a machine or with pulsating pressure. The glycerine damps the pointer movement, so the pressure is easy to read.
- Which gauge range should I choose?
- The normal operating pressure should sit roughly between half and two thirds of the scale. For a compressed air system up to 8 bar, a 0–10 or 0–16 bar gauge is therefore suitable.
- What does the accuracy class mean?
- It gives the maximum deviation as a percentage of the scale range. A 0–10 bar gauge in class 1.0 may deviate by no more than 0.1 bar, an MSF precision gauge in class 0.6 by 0.06 bar.
- Does a thermometer need a thermowell?
- Yes, the thermometer slides into a thermowell, which protects it and seals it into the pipe. For TWSS stainless thermometers the type A thermowell is ordered separately, TWAL aluminium thermometers come with one and suit medium pressures up to 6 bar.
- Which gauge for oxygen or acetylene?
- For industrial gases there are degreased gauges for oxygen and acetylene and a gauge for argon, all with a 63 mm dial. Never use an ordinary gauge for oxygen.
- What is a pressure sensor for?
- It converts pressure into a 4–20 mA electrical signal that a control system, controller or display can process. It is useful wherever you need to monitor or record pressure remotely.
