What air receivers are companies missing the most right now? Market analysis and our stock levels
With the last part of the year approaching and companies striving to invest in plant modernization, we see a clear trend across the entire compressed air market. Manufacturing plants and workshops, such as car repair shops and CNC facilities, are heavily replacing components of their compressor rooms. One of the main motivations is the desire to save on compressed air production, prevent losses and leaks, and the awareness that the quality of industry components has advanced significantly in recent years. What pressure vessels (air receivers) are currently in highest demand in industry and manufacturing, why are they disappearing from the market so quickly, and what models do we currently hold in stock on our e-shop?

Floor space is expensive: Vertical design wins
When designing or expanding a compressor room today, every centimeter counts. The days when huge horizontal "cisterns" dominated the halls are retreating. Industry data shows that over 70% of new installations for small and medium compressors today are vertical pressure vessels.
Their advantage is clear, as they take up an absolute minimum of floor space while providing a full-fledged supply of compressed air to balance pressure peaks and ensure the compressor does not switch on unnecessarily often. The most frequently requested volumes? Capacities of 270 liters and 500 liters clearly dominate.

Industry standard: 500 liters and 11 bar
If you want to know the biggest workhorses of modern industry regarding sold pressure vessels, they are 500-liter vessels dimensioned for a pressure of 11 bar. This volume is ideal for the most commonly used, primarily piston compressors with an output of 5.5 kW to 7.5 kW, ensuring they are not overloaded and do not suffer wear from failing to produce enough air that also wouldn't have the space to be stored in an appropriately sized receiver. The 11 bar pressure safely covers 90% of common pneumatic applications, from blow-off to powering tools.
- Our stock tip: A typical representative of this trend on our e-shop is the Vertical pressure vessel 500 l - 11 bar (VVP2-500-11) from Baglioni. It is an exceptionally reliable carbon steel vessel. Moreover, it is fully certified according to the European SPVD directive (29/2014/EU), which is a rather crucial parameter when choosing a pressure vessel today. We have also created a special category of pressure vessels for you, where you can find all available models with the SPVD directive, making it easy to find the ideal product for your operation.
The "Plug & Play" trend: Companies don't want to deal with paperwork
The absolute biggest jumper in demand is the so-called fully equipped pressure vessels. The reason is purely legislative. If a company buys a "bare" air receiver and installs a safety valve and pressure gauge on it by itself, it becomes the manufacturer of dedicated pressure equipment from a legal perspective. This means having to arrange an expensive conformity assessment for the entire assembly (e.g., from TÜV).
Technical buyers and many business or workshop owners already know this, which is why they are massively switching to buying pre-assembled sets.
- Our solution: Over the past two years, we have thoroughly filled the category of equipped vessels with many variants of air receivers. For example, we offer the VVP2-500-11A model, which is an equipped 500l vessel fitted with all fittings (safety and drain valves, pressure gauge). The air receiver arrives completely ready for you, including the important passport (inspection logbook). This solution saves operators thousands of crowns and, above all, worries during occupational safety inspections.

Winter will test old air receivers. We are stocked up
With approaching frosts and dropping temperatures in halls, more condensate accumulates in old pressure vessels without proper maintenance, accelerating internal corrosion. And this is highly risky. Many companies thus end up replacing their air receivers at the last minute.
On our e-shop, we are prepared for this situation when many air receivers are being replaced. So, whether you are looking for a small air receiver for a local workstation and a smaller compressor, a standard painted 500l vessel, or galvanized versions for the most demanding operations, we keep key models in stock for immediate dispatch.
Check out our full range, and if you are unsure about your choice, let us know.
