The smaller 0.9 mm nozzle suits detail work on the smallest areas or very thin paints, where such spray volume is not needed. For thicker coatings or covering larger areas, the bigger 1.2 mm nozzle may be suitable. It applies a heavier layer and atomises high-build primers or thick lacquers better – but with the larger diameter you must watch your technique carefully so the paint does not run.
