Stříkací pistole pro práškové lakování s tryskou 1,2 mm
Spray guns with a 1.2 mm nozzle are the perfect choice for top-coat painting, where a fine spray, even coverage and a smooth finish are key. They suit acrylic and synthetic paints and prove themselves on furniture, car parts and metal structures.

What is the 1.2 mm nozzle for and when to reach for it?
The 1.2 mm nozzle is one of the most used sizes among painters. It is intended for the final application of top coats, above all water-thinnable acrylic paints, polyurethane and synthetic lacquers. Compared with the smaller 1.0 mm nozzle it offers higher paint flow while still keeping the very fine spray that matters for a smooth, glossy, flawless surface.
Its versatility makes it suitable for wood, metal and plastics. You will use it in joinery, metalworking, body painting, and also for furniture repairs or custom paintwork.
Where does the 1.2 mm nozzle find practical use?
- Furniture painting: for top coats on wooden surfaces when you want a smooth, attractive finish with no marks or unevenness.
- Car refinishing: ideal for applying clear coat or the top metallic layer on bodywork and plastic parts (bumpers, mirrors, for example).
- Metal structures and technical parts: used for protective top coats where a dependable finish without overspray is needed.
- All-round final painting in the trades and industry, where a precise result without wasted paint is expected.
Recommended pressure and technical notes:
For guns with a 1.2 mm nozzle, a pressure of 1.8–2.5 bar is recommended, depending on paint viscosity and gun type (HVLP, LVLP, conventional). Lower pressure gives a finer spray (good for clear coats, for instance), while higher pressure suits thicker paints or larger areas.
Comparison: 1.2 mm vs 1.0 mm and 1.3 mm
- Compared with 1.0 mm, the 1.2 mm allows faster work and copes better with thicker lacquers without heavy thinning.
- Compared with 1.3 mm it keeps a finer atomisation and is therefore better for more demanding finishes (a flawless clear coat on bodywork or furniture, for example).
