FUTURA pressure regulators for ATEX environments up to 16 bar
FUTURA pressure regulators reduce the air line pressure of up to 16 bar to the value you set with the knob and hold it even when the air consumption fluctuates. They relieve excess outlet pressure by themselves, so the pressure can be reduced even with no air being drawn.
They come in four sizes with G 1/4" to 1" threads and in ranges from 0.1–1 bar to 0.5–16 bar. The pressure gauge is always included.
Which regulator to choose
Pressure regulator
For ordinary pressure setting on tools and machines. The 0.5–8 bar range is the most versatile.
Precision regulator
Holds the pressure with an accuracy of ±25 mbar, almost independently of the inlet pressure. For measuring and test equipment.
Through-feed
Several regulators side by side on one supply, each circuit with a different pressure.
Remotely controlled
Volume booster: the outlet pressure is controlled by a pilot pressure from another regulator. For large flows and remote control.
Regulators by size
Rows are setting ranges, columns are threads. The pressure gauge matches the range. Size 0 has a compact pressure gauge, or a 40 mm pressure gauge in the variant with one.

Inlet pressure up to 16 bar (size 0: 12 bar). The 0.5–8 bar range is the most versatile — it lets you set most common pressures. Size 0 is not for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Through-feed pressure regulators
The inlet passes on through the regulator body, so several regulators placed side by side are fed from one supply. Each has its own outlet with a different pressure — for example 6 bar for tools and 2 bar for blow-off.
They come in sizes 0, 1 and 2, as standard and precision regulators and with the same ranges.

Safety version
A regulator with an upstream lockable ball valve and a soft-start valve. Before maintenance you close the valve and lock it with a padlock; at start-up, the soft-start valve fills the air line gradually, so the cylinders do not move abruptly.

Remotely controlled regulators
The volume booster has no knob. The outlet pressure is set by a pilot pressure from a small regulator, which can be far from the point of use, for example on a control panel. It suits large flows of up to 14,600 l/min and a range of 0.5–16 bar.
How the regulator works
Relief of excess pressure
When the pressure after the regulator rises above the set value, the regulator releases the excess by itself. This lets you reduce the pressure with the knob even with no air being drawn.
Knob lock and padlock
You lock the knob by pushing it in, and in sizes 1 to 4 you can secure it with a padlock so that nobody changes the pressure. Size 0 cannot be locked with a padlock.
Precision regulator
It uses a little air for control (2.6 l/min at 6 bar), but in return holds the pressure with an accuracy of ±25 mbar and with low hysteresis.
Mounting and connection
You fix the regulator to a wall with a mounting bracket, in a panel with a nut, and to other components of the same size with a connection kit. In the direction of flow, it goes after the filter and before the lubricator.

Ventilek’s tip
If you are not sure about the range, take 0.5–8 bar. It covers almost everything from tools to machines. Lower ranges only make sense when you need to set pressures below 2 bar finely.
- Is the pressure gauge included?
- Yes, with all regulators. The pressure gauge range matches the setting range.
- Which range should I choose?
- For ordinary use 0.5–8 bar. For fine setting of low pressures 0.1–1, 0.1–2 or 0.2–4 bar, for high pressures 0.5–10 and 0.5–16 bar.
- How does the precision regulator differ?
- It holds the pressure with an accuracy of ±25 mbar, almost independently of the inlet pressure. In doing so, it uses a little air for control.

- Is it suitable for potentially explosive atmospheres?
- Sizes 1, 2 and 4 are, in zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 according to the declaration regarding Directive 2014/34/EU. Size 0 is not.
