The SFTG KSP series is a ready-made assembly: a screw compressor with inverter mounted directly on a pressure vessel with a volume of 270, 300 or 500 litres. In the COMBO version, a dryer and filters are added, so dry air comes out of a single unit without having to assemble components. The inverter adapts the speed to the demand and saves up to 35% energy with variable consumption. The series has 14 models with power inputs ranging from 5.5 to 15 kW.

Sorted by power input. The designation indicates what the machine contains: the number before the slash is the power input in kW, the number after the slash is the air receiver volume in litres, and COMBO means a dryer and filters are included. Air delivery is given at 8, 10 and 13 bar as a range from the lowest to the highest inverter speed.

Air delivery depends only on the input power of the machine, not on the tank: 5.5 kW models have the same air delivery on the 270, 300 and 500 l air tank. The tank changes the dimensions and weight.

Three air tank sizes and COMBO version
270 l air tank
The smallest assembly in the range: 1,280 × 650 × 1,630 mm and 280 kg. It is available for input powers of 5.5 and 7.5 kW.
300 l air tank
The housing and tank measure 1,683 × 739 × 1,629 mm, the weight is 326 kg. Available for input powers of 5.5 and 7.5 kW, also as COMBO.
500 l air tank
For 5.5 and 7.5 kW, the assembly is 1,970 × 720 × 1,700 mm, for 11 and 15 kW it is 1,970 × 760 × 1,750 mm. For 11 and 15 kW power inputs, this is the only tank size.
COMBO with dryer
The COMBO version adds a dryer and filters. The assembly is 32 to 60 kg heavier than the same machine without a dryer, depending on the power input and tank.
What's inside the assembly
- Direct drive 1:1 — the screw block is connected directly to the motor, without a belt.
- Inverter — smoothly adapts the speed to demand, ensures a soft start and protects against current spikes.
- IE4 magnetic motor — optionally IE5. The motor windings are protected by thermal protection.
- Steel piping — both oil and air piping are made of steel.
- Oil separation — for 5.5 and 7.5 kW models, a screw-on separator; for 11 and 15 kW, a long-life immersion separator.
SFTG KSP, or standalone SF KSP with tank?
The same machines with a power input of 5.5 to 15 kW also exist without a tank as SF KSP; they can optionally be fitted with a tank and dryer. The SFTG KSP range is a complete assembly in which the tank, and possibly also the dryer and filters, are part of a single unit. If you want the same compressor with fixed speed, choose SKTG KSP (11 and 15 kW) or the belt-driven SKTG SP range (5.5 and 7.5 kW).

Choose the air receiver according to the installation site and demand peaks.
A larger tank evens out short demand peaks and the compressor runs more smoothly, while a smaller one takes up less space. For power ratings of 11 and 15 kW, only a single 500 l tank is available, while for 5.5 and 7.5 kW you can choose from three sizes. If you need dry air, go straight for the COMBO version.

- What size air receiver should I choose?
- The air receiver is a compressed air storage tank. A larger tank better evens out demand peaks, while a smaller one takes up less space. The assembly with a 270 l tank measures 1,280 × 650 × 1,630 mm, and with a 500 l tank 1,970 × 720 × 1,700 mm.
- What does the COMBO version include?
- The air receiver and compressor are complemented by a dryer and filters. This means the assembly delivers dry and clean air without having to combine components yourself.
- Can a dryer be added to a model without COMBO?

- What pressure do the SFTG KSP models have?
- Each model is manufactured in variants for 8, 10, and 13 bar. The inverter allows an operating pressure from 5 to 13 bar.
- How often is service needed?
- For all WALTER screw compressors, every 2,000 motor hours. Regular maintenance is also a condition for the seven-year warranty.
