The SLC Laser Cut range is designed for operations that use compressed air as a cutting gas for laser cutting. This application requires higher pressure than a typical workshop, which is why the range has a working pressure of 16 or 20 bar. It offers three models: the standalone SLC 22 with an inverter in two pressure versions, and the SLCTG 15, a complete assembly on an air receiver with dryer and filters.
Three models of WALTER SLC Laser Cut
The designation indicates the pressure: the number after the slash is the working pressure in bar. SLC 22/16 is therefore a machine at 16 bar and SLC 22/20 at 20 bar. COMBO means that a dryer and filters are added to the tank. For machines with an inverter, the air delivery is given as a range from the lowest to the highest speed.

At higher pressure, the machine delivers less air: the SLC 22 provides 1.2–2.4 m³/min at 16 bar, and 1–1.7 m³/min at 20 bar.

Two versions of the series
SLCTG 15/16 COMBO
A complete assembly on a 500 l air receiver with a dryer with a dew point of +3 °C and a set of five filters. At 16 bar it delivers 1.3 m³/min and weighs 510 kg.
SLC 22/16
Standalone machine for 16 bar with an inverter. It delivers 1.2–2.4 m³/min, the highest air delivery at 16 bar in the series. The air receiver and air treatment are sized separately.
SLC 22/20
The same enclosure (1,300 × 880 × 1,170 mm) and the same weight of 550 kg as the SLC 22/16, but for 20 bar pressure. At 20 bar it delivers 1–1.7 m³/min.

- Why 16 or 20 bar?
- Laser cutting uses compressed air at a higher pressure than common workshop tools. The pressure you need is determined by your cutter's manufacturer. The series offers both values.
- Does the SLC 22 have a dryer?
- No. The SLC 22 is a standalone machine; you need to size the air tank and air treatment separately. A complete assembly with a dryer is offered by the SLCTG 15/16 COMBO model.
- What is the difference between the SLC 22/16 and the SLC 22/20?
- The housing, power input, and weight are the same. They differ in working pressure (16 or 20 bar) and air delivery: at 16 bar 1.2–2.4 m³/min, at 20 bar 1–1.7 m³/min.
- What connections do they have and how loud are they?
- The SLC 22 has a G 1″ connection and a noise level of 64 dB(A), the SLCTG 15 has a G ¾″ connection and a noise level of 62 dB(A).
- How often is service needed?
- For all WALTER screw compressors, every 2,000 motor hours. Regular maintenance is also a condition for the seven-year warranty.
