The ball valve is a 3/2 shut-off valve. Turning the knob 90° shuts off the supply and exhausts the outlet downstream through a silencer. In the closed position you can lock it with up to three padlocks.

What it is for
It goes at the start of the unit, before the soft-start valve and filter. It isolates a machine or a branch of the air line for maintenance without switching off the compressor. Size 1 is suitable for tools and smaller machines.

Potentially explosive atmospheres
A mechanical device with no ignition source of its own. According to the declaration regarding Directive 2014/34/EU, you can use it in zones 1 and 2 (gases IIA, IIB, IIC) and 21 and 22 (dust IIIA, IIIB), temperature class T4, under the conditions described for the FUTURA range.
