HiSEAL — sealing technology for threaded joints
HiSEAL is our own brand of sealing products for securing and sealing threaded joints. It was created to cover the whole range of everyday plumbing and engineering jobs in a single line — from Teflon tapes through sealing cords to thread-locking adhesives.
HST Teflon tapes
Tapes made of PTFE, intended mainly for sealing smaller threads up to 1". Two versions are available:
- HST-1210 — width 12 mm, thickness 0,1 mm, length 10 m; for smaller threads
- HST-1915 — width 19 mm, thickness 0,2 mm, length 15 m; for larger threads
HST tapes are suitable not only for compressed air but also for plumbing installations including drinking water and natural gas, for which they hold the relevant certificates.
HSC sealing cords
Cords, likewise made of PTFE. They are used where the thread is tightened to a precise fit and the joint needs fine adjustment after tightening, without having to rewind the whole seal.
HSG threadlocking adhesives
Adhesives for securing firm threaded joints. The HSG-542 type is intended for pneumatic and hydraulic joints up to size 2". It offers medium strength — breakaway torque 15 Nm and prevailing torque 9 Nm to ISO 10964 — so the joint holds firm yet can be dismantled with ordinary tools if needed. It is easy to apply, cures quickly and withstands temperatures of −20 to +100 °C.
Which one to reach for
Tapes and cords are for sealing the thread against leakage of the medium; adhesives are for securing the joint against loosening caused by vibration. On joints that have to seal and hold at the same time, the adhesive does both.
