One hundred and sixty kilowatts at eight bar delivers 31,000 l/min. It is the highest output the EPM2 range will give you at normal industrial pressure — and the ceiling of the whole brand in oil-lubricated rotary screw compressors.
Why 8 bar
Eight bar means 31,000 l/min against 33,500 at seven, or 7 % less. On a 160 kW machine running continuously that is a sum visible in the plant budget, not merely in the energy costs.

What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Permanent magnets, IP65 protection and no bearings to grease. On 160 kW the difference against an IE2 motor is five to six percent of consumption — and the machine runs constantly.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
A taper coupling joins motor and airend — no belt to slip and eat into 31,000 l/min. One maintenance item that simply is not there.
Frequency inverter
The band from 8,800 to 31,000 l/min is covered without shutting down — the machine comes down to 28 % of output. The soft start puts no more load on the supply than normal running.
New-generation airend
The new airend raises efficiency by up to 16 %. On 160 kW in continuous operation that is the single largest saving after the inverter. Engineered for 20 years.
SCR9000 controller
It shares a cascade of up to sixteen machines out on its own. On a machine needing 30,000 m³/h of ventilation the installation is usually several units — and the control system is not rebuilt when it grows.
What the machine needs in the compressor room
The 160 kW shares its frame with the 132 kW — 2,700 × 1,650 × 2,150 mm — but needs 5,000 m³/h more ventilation. If you are building the compressor room, size the ventilation for the 160 kW from the start; it will not ask for more space, but it will ask for more air.

Seven percent of a hundred and sixty kilowatts running continuously is no small thing. Measure the installation before you set the pressure.
