Product detailed description

The WFITC-175 stainless steel cyclone separator removes condensate droplets — water and oil droplets — from the air before they reach the elements after it. It has a G 2 1/2" connection (female pipe thread), a flow of 28,000 l/min at 7 bar and a working pressure of up to 14 bar.

It belongs to the WFIT process filters, among the WFITC cyclone separators: the housing is the same for all stages, but instead of an element it has a cyclone element.

Housing and dimensions

A height, B width across the connections, C housing diameter, E drain.

The welded housing is made of stainless steel 1.4404, or 1.4301 on request, with FKM seals (EPDM or silicone on request) and female pipe threads. It withstands −20 to +150 °C; the actual limit depends on the seals and the element.

Dimensions according to the manufacturer: height A 722 mm, width across the connections B 226 mm, housing diameter C 139.7 mm. Weight 11.4 kg.

Flow by pressure

The flow applies to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, it is multiplied by the correction factor; at 14 bar it is 1.88:

Pressure (bar)471014
Flow (l/min)17,64028,00038,64052,640

Cyclone element and accessories

For this separator:
Spare cyclone elementWFC-175V
Condensate drain (ordered separately)AOK20SS
Differential pressure gauge for the filter headMDHI50-K

Once a year, check the housing for visible damage. The separated condensate is drained at the bottom of the housing.

Where to place it

Stages in the direction of flow; C is highlighted.

It goes at the start of the filtration, before the WFITN25 coarse filter or the WFITI20 sintered pre-filter.

You will find other sizes among the separators of the same range.
