The ABAC DRY-530 refrigeration dryer dries compressed air to a pressure dew point of +4 °C, i.e. water class 5 according to ISO 8573-1. It handles 7,700 l/min (462 m³/h) at 7 bar, works up to 14 bar and is connected via a G 1 1/2" female thread; power supply 230 V, 1 phase, 50 Hz.
It belongs to the range of ABAC DRY refrigeration dryers with R513A refrigerant, a level-controlled electronic condensate drain and a controller that displays the dew point.

Flow rate under other conditions
The nominal flow rate of 7,700 l/min applies to +25 °C in the room, +35 °C at the inlet and 7 bar. Under other conditions, multiply it by the manufacturer’s correction factors. For example, at +30 °C in the room, +40 °C at the inlet and 10 bar, DRY-530 handles 7,700 × 0.91 × 0.82 × 1.07 = 6,148 l/min.

A room temperature of +46 °C and inlet air at +60 °C apply only to DRY-690 to DRY-1260, a pressure of 15 and 16 bar only to DRY-20 to DRY-130.
How it works
The air is pre-cooled in the air/air heat exchanger, cooled to a dew point of +4 °C in the evaporator and the water vapour condenses; the separator with a demister catches the droplets and the drain discharges them. On its way out the dry air is reheated. The hot gas bypass valve keeps the dew point constant under every load.
Equipment
The level-controlled electronic condensate drain discharges only water, without losing compressed air. The controller shows the dew point and the dryer and fan status and reports a high or low dew point and service. A potential-free contact signals the dew point alarm, high refrigerant temperature and fan probe failure.
R513A refrigerant
R513A refrigerant has a low global warming potential; the refrigerant charge is small.
Where to install it
The dryer goes after the compressor and the air receiver. The manufacturer puts a G filter in front of it and a C filter after it; in our shop you will find matching dust filters and microfilters, and for oil class 1 also an activated carbon filter. For a dew point below 0 °C there are desiccant dryers.
