The Mikropor MOK-50 refrigeration dryer dries compressed air to a pressure dew point of +3 °C, i.e. water class 4 according to ISO 8573-1. It handles 833 l/min (50 m³/h) at 7 bar, works up to 14 bar and is connected with a G 3/4" thread; power supply 230 V, 1 phase, 50 Hz.
It belongs to the Mikropor MOK refrigeration dryers with R513A refrigerant. The same dryer with a pair of GO-71 filters fitted is MOK-50-GO71.

Flow rate under other conditions
The nominal flow rate of 833 l/min applies to +35 °C inlet, +25 °C room temperature and 7 bar. Under other conditions multiply it by the manufacturer’s correction factors. For example, at +40 °C inlet, +30 °C room temperature and 10 bar, MOK-50 handles 833 × 0.92 × 0.98 × 1.11 = 834 l/min.

The dryer operates from 4 to 14 bar, with inlet air at +5 to +60 °C and in a room at +5 to +50 °C.
How it works
The air is pre-cooled in the 3-in-1 heat exchanger, the refrigerant cools it to a dew point of +3 °C and water vapour condenses; the separator captures the droplets and the drain discharges them. On its way out the dry air is reheated, so no water condenses on the pipework.
Equipment
The Digi-Pro controller shows the temperature, dryer and fan operation and reports alarms and service. The time-controlled drain can also be triggered manually with a button. The microchannel condenser has a debris filter and a temperature-controlled fan; the refrigerant circuit is hermetic.
R513A refrigerant
R513A refrigerant does not deplete the ozone layer, is non-flammable and its global warming potential is less than half that of R134a.
Where to install it
The dryer goes after the compressor and the air receiver. Fit a dust filter and a microfilter after it, and an activated carbon filter for oil without vapour. For a dew point below 0 °C there are desiccant dryers.
