FUTURA accessories and spare parts are chosen by the size of the component, not by the thread. Size 0 has a G 1/4" thread, size 1 G 1/4" and 3/8", size 2 G 3/8" and 1/2", and size 4 G 3/4" and 1".

Mounting and joining

The connection kit joins two components of the same size regardless of their thread. The kit with bracket also fixes the unit to a wall. The bracket with nut and the nut on its own are used for mounting a pressure regulator or filter regulator in a panel.

How to fit the parts

The mounting bracket is screwed to the back of the component; remove the rear cover plate first. The connection kit has two frames, screws and a sealing ring.

For an assembly of three to four components, put the connection kits with bracket on the outer joints; for five to six components, use three.

For panel mounting, drill a hole with a diameter of 37 mm for size 1, 43 mm for size 2 and 51 mm for size 4. The panel can be at most 6, 8 and 15 mm thick.

Threaded wall brackets

The brackets screw onto the start and end of the unit, and the piping connects to their thread. You can then replace the unit without removing the wall fixing or the piping. One pack contains a left and a right bracket with screws.

Bowls

The bowls come in two versions: plastic, made of polycarbonate, in sizes 1 to 4 in a protective guard, and metal, in sizes 1 to 4 with a sight glass. The bowls of filters, activated carbon filters and lubricators are not interchangeable.

Bowls for activated carbon filters and lubricators

The activated carbon filter does not drain condensate; its bowl has no drain. In size 0, it is the same bowl as on the lubricator.

Good to know about the bowls:

The size 0 bowl screws onto a thread with a diameter of 33.5 mm; the bowls of sizes 1, 2 and 4 fit a bayonet with a diameter of 37.6, 43.8 and 60 mm. The bowl is fitted rotated by 45° and turned to the right until the catch clicks into place.
The size 0 metal bowl with automatic drain is for the filter regulator only.
With the automatic drain, the condensate hose screws into the G 1/8" thread.
Separate drains for bowls with a 14 mm hole: automatic float drain AM18-10 (1.5–16 bar), semi-automatic HANDABLASS-HA and manual HANDABLASS-M. The manual HANDABLASS-MDF has a special G 1/8" mounting.

Filter elements

The element is chosen by filter type and size. For both threads of one size, the element is the same, just under two order numbers. The 5 µm element is shared by the filter and the filter regulator.

The clogging indicators are mounted on the cap of the pre-filter and microfilter in sizes 1 to 4. When replacing the element, depressurise the component, remove the bowl and unscrew the element end piece.

Regulator parts

The diaphragm is supplied with the control piston and sealing ring. The standard diaphragm is for pressure regulators, filter regulators, through-feed regulators and units; the precision regulator diaphragm is for precision regulators in sizes 1 and 2.

Size 0 components have a compact pressure gauge: a 0–12 bar gauge for the 0.5–8 and 0.5–10 bar ranges, a 0–6 bar gauge for the 0.2–4 bar range. Repairs and modifications of components operated in potentially explosive atmospheres are not permitted.

Padlocks

The VHS 20 padlock fits the knob of a regulator in sizes 1 to 4 and the ball valve. Size 0 cannot be locked. Up to three padlocks can be hung on the ball valve.

The padlocks have a brass body and a hardened steel shackle and come with two keys. Padlocks with the same GSA or GSB order number open with one key.

Lubricators and oils

The TROPFOLF sight dome is the same for all lubricator sizes. The pack contains the outer and inner dome and a seal.

The catalogue recommends ISO VG 32 class oil (CL32 to DIN 51517) for lubricators. Top up the oil when the level drops to the lower mark.

Pilot valves

The spare pilot valve with coil MCL-F24VDC, MCL-F230VAC and MCL-F115VAC is for electrically operated 3/2 valves and soft-start units of all sizes. Power 2.5 W, or 3 VA with AC voltage, protection IP 65. It is screwed on together with its seal.

The declaration regarding Directive 2014/34/EU does not apply to pilot valves, clogging indicators or size 0 parts.

Ventilek’s tip

Choose parts by size, not by thread. A component with a G 3/8" thread can be size 1 or size 2. You will find the size on the product page and in the category tables.

How do I choose a connection kit?: By the size of the components. A connection kit joins two components of the same size regardless of their thread.
What is the difference between a connection kit and a kit with bracket?: The kit with bracket also fixes the unit to a wall. For an assembly of three to four components, two are enough, on the outer joints.
What is the threaded wall bracket for?: It screws onto the start and end of the unit and the piping connects to it. You can then replace the unit without removing the piping. It comes as a pair, left and right, with screws.
Which padlock fits the regulator and the ball valve?: VHS 20. Up to three can be hung on the ball valve.
How do I know which element I need?: By filter type and size. On the size 1 pre-filter and microfilter, the version with automatic drain has a shorter element.
Which parts are for size 0?: They have 0 in the code, for example W0F, KP0F or BDF00. Watch out for similar codes: the SM1 nut is for size 0, SM1F for size 1.

Parts are chosen by component size 0, 1, 2 or 4. Bowls of polycarbonate or metal, brass padlocks with a hardened steel shackle, diaphragms and seals of NBR.
