ABAC SPINN-D screw compressors
A rotary screw compressor in the body you know from piston machines — tank, wheels, plug in and go. TheABAC SPINN.Drange was created for workshops that want to move to screw technology but have neither the room nor the budget for a large machine.
Noise level59 dB(A)is about the level of ordinary conversation. And theCW-90 runs on ordinary 230 V, so the most common obstacle disappears too — no three-phase supply.

How SPINN.D differs from a piston compressor
Smooth running, no pulsation
Two rotors compress the air continuously. The pulsation and vibration a piston machine sends into the piping and the floor simply disappear.
Runs all day
A piston compressor needs cool-down breaks. A screw machine is built to run continuously.
Markedly quieter
59 dB(A) against 85–95 dB(A) for an ordinary piston machine. You hear the difference the moment you switch it on.
Longer service life
Nothing rubs against a cylinder inside a screw block. Maintenance comes down to oil and filters.
What is inside
Under the blue cover sitsa screw block coupled directly to the motor— no belts to stretch and retension. Beside it the cooler, the oil circuit and the separator.
The whole mechanism is sound-insulated by the cover — hence the 59 dB(A). Lift the cover and everything is within reach, so a service call does not take half a day.
A screw block instead of a piston
Instead of a piston moving back and forth, here you havetwo intermeshing rotors. The air travels between them and is compressed on the way — smoothly, without shocks.

When 272 l/min stops being enough, the range continues from 294 l/min with the ABAC SPINN Mini series. And if the machine has to follow fluctuating demand, every model has a variable speed drive in the ABAC CROSS series.

The tank is not the output. Both versions breathe exactly the same. The SPD-2,2/10CW-90 and the SPD-2,2/10C-200 both deliver 272 l/min. The 90-litre and the 200-litre differ only in how much air you have in reserve — and above all in the socket you plug the machine into.

- Is an ordinary socket really enough?
- On the CW-90 version, yes — it runs on 230 V. Just check your breaker: a two-kilowatt motor briefly draws more on start-up than in operation.
