WALTER SK KSP screw compressors: direct drive without losses
7-year warrantyDirect-drive, fixed-speed compressors 11–315 kW
The SK KSP range is designed for operations with constant air consumption. The screw element is connected to the motor by a coupling, without a belt, so no power is lost in the transmission. The latest generation screw elements and energy-efficient motors keep operating costs low, and fixed speed means a simple design. The range has 17 models from 11 to 315 kW; for power inputs of 11 and 15 kW, ready-made assemblies on an air tank are also available as SKTG KSP.
All 17 models of WALTER SK KSP
Sorted by power input. For fixed-speed machines, there is one air delivery value at each pressure. All models are manufactured for 8, 10, and 13 bar.

As pressure increases, air delivery decreases. Therefore, select based on the air delivery at the pressure you actually need, not just the value at 8 bar.

Design of the SK KSP series
The series was developed with the aim of reducing losses and operating costs. The biggest difference compared to belt-driven machines lies in the power transmission: the screw airend and the motor are connected by a coupling.
Direct drive without losses
The screw airend is connected directly to the motor by a coupling. Torque transmission is robust and efficient, without losses on a belt or gearbox.
Gears according to the AGMA standard
The gears in the screw airends are manufactured according to the AGMA (American Gear Manufacturers Association) standard.
Three-stage oil separation
Three-stage separation provides high-quality air and works more efficiently with lower noise and lower pressure loss. The outlet air contains no more than 3 ppm of oil mist.
Cooling
Cooling is provided by an efficient axial fan and a temperature-controlled motor.
WALTER CONTROLLER control unit
It monitors cooling and the operating conditions of the machine.

Which models share a housing
Models with neighboring power inputs share a common housing. Therefore, when moving to a higher power input, the footprint and connection often do not change.

Fixed speed, or inverter?
A machine with fixed speed is simpler and suits applications where demand stays at the same value. For fluctuating consumption, compare the range with an inverter.
Ventilek advises
Fixed speed requires constant demand.
Record how much air you consume over the course of a shift. If the value does not change much, fixed speed is the simplest solution. If it fluctuates, compare the SF KSP range with an inverter, which continuously adjusts output to demand.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How does the SK KSP differ from the SF KSP?
- Both machines have a direct drive. The SK KSP has fixed speed and delivers a constant amount of air, while the SF KSP has an inverter and continuously adjusts air delivery to demand. Fixed speed is suitable for constant consumption, while the inverter is suitable for fluctuating consumption.
- How much air does the machine deliver at higher pressure?
- As pressure increases, air delivery decreases. For example, the SK 45 KSP model delivers 7.51 m³/min at 8 bar, 7.1 m³/min at 10 bar, and 6.05 m³/min at 13 bar. Exact values for all models can be found in the table.
- Is the SK KSP also available on an air receiver?
- Yes for the 11 and 15 kW models. As a complete assembly on a 500 l air receiver, they are available in the SKTG KSP series, also in the COMBO version with a dryer.
- What connections do they have and how loud are they?
- Up to 15 kW the connection is G ¾″, for 18.5 and 22 kW G 1″, for 30 to 45 kW G 1½″, and for 55 and 75 kW G 2″. From 90 kW the connection is DN 65, for the SK 200 KSP DN 80, for the SK 250 KSP DN 100, and for the SK 315 KSP DN 125. Noise level ranges from 62 dB(A) for the smallest model up to 80 dB(A) for the largest.
- How often is service needed?
- For all WALTER screw compressors, every 2,000 motor hours. Regular maintenance is also a condition for the seven-year warranty.
All models are covered by a 7-year warranty on the entire machine. Warranty and service conditions can be found on the page Šroubové kompresory WALTER. Air delivery is stated according to ISO 1217:2009, Annex C, sound pressure level with a tolerance of ±3 dB(A).
