TACHP high-pressure activated carbon columns
Omega Air TACHP high-pressure activated carbon columns remove oil vapours from high-pressure compressed air below 0.003 mg/m³. They work the same way as TAC activated carbon columns, but are rated for a working pressure of 50, 100, 250 or 420 bar.
The range includes 12 sizes from 50 to 250 Nm³/h with a G 3/8 thread and the matching service kits. The manufacturer makes TACHP columns up to 1,600 Nm³/h, larger sizes are on request.
Sizes and technical data
The numbers in the code are the pressure class and the nominal flow: TACHP-100-150 is a column for 100 bar and 150 Nm³/h. The nominal flow applies to the nominal pressure of the class and +20 °C.

Flow at lower pressure and higher temperature
At a pressure lower than the pressure class, the column handles less air. Multiply the nominal flow by the pressure factor for the given class and by the temperature factor.

Installation and maintenance
A coalescing microfilter is recommended upstream of the TACHP column and a 1 µm dust filter is required downstream. The oil content is checked once a month, the activated carbon is replaced every 12 months or earlier. The column also serves as a safeguard against oil carry-over if filtration fails.
