Cyclone separator WFIFC-240 – 14 bar, DN80, 60,000 l/min cyclone element · 14 bar
Code: WFIFC-240Related products
Product detailed description
The WFIFC-240 stainless steel cyclone separator removes condensate droplets — water and oil droplets — from the air before they reach the elements after it. It has a DN80 flange, a flow of 60,000 l/min at 7 bar and a working pressure of up to 14 bar.
It belongs to the WFIF process filters, among the WFIFC cyclone separators: the housing is the same for all stages, but instead of an element it has a cyclone element.

Housing and dimensions

The welded housing is made of stainless steel 1.4404, or 1.4301 on request, with flanges according to EN 1092-1/11 PN16 (ANSI B16.5 WN Class 150 on request) and FKM seals. It withstands −20 to +150 °C; the actual limit depends on the seals and the element.
Dimensions according to the manufacturer: height A 1,041 mm, length across the flanges B 332 mm, housing diameter C 168.3 mm. Weight 22.9 kg.
Flow by pressure
The flow applies to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, it is multiplied by the correction factor; at 14 bar it is 1.88:
| Pressure (bar) | 4 | 7 | 10 | 14 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flow (l/min) | 37,800 | 60,000 | 82,800 | 112,800 |
Cyclone element and accessories
Once a year, check the housing for visible damage. The separated condensate is drained at the bottom of the housing.
Where to place it

It goes at the start of the filtration, before the WFIFN25 coarse filter or the WFIFI20 sintered pre-filter.
You will find other sizes among the separators of the same range.
