Activated carbon filter CHP1A-005 – 100 bar, G 3/8", 1,167 l/min oil below 0.005 mg/m³ · class 1-x-1 · 100 bar
Code: CHP1A-005Related products
Product detailed description
The CHP1A-005 high-pressure activated carbon filter removes residual oil, oil vapours, hydrocarbons and odours; residual oil is below 0.005 mg/m³. It has a G 3/8" thread, a flow of 1,167 l/min at 7 bar and a working pressure of up to 100 bar.
It belongs to the range of CHP1 high-pressure filters, among the CHP1A activated carbon filters: the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.

Housing and dimensions

The housing is made of ANSI A-105 carbon steel with chemical nickel plating, the fittings and bolts are made of stainless steel 1.4404 and the seals of FKM with a PTFE back-up ring. The air is connected through female pipe threads in the filter head; the condensate leaves through a G 1/4" opening in the bottom.
According to the manufacturer: height A 182 mm, head width B 98 mm, maximum width C 104 mm and from the top edge D 30 mm. Weight 7.6 kg.
Flow by pressure
The flow applies to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure, it is multiplied by the correction factor; from 100 bar it is 12:
| Pressure (bar) | 7 | 25 | 40 | 64 | 100 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flow (l/min) | 1,167 | 3,501 | 5,835 | 9,336 | 14,004 |
Element and accessories
| For this filter: | |
|---|---|
| Spare element | CHPA-005V |
| Condensate drain (ordered separately) | TD420M-230VAC, TD420M-24VDC |
| Wall bracket | CHP-WS |
| Water separator before the filter | CHP cyclone separators |
Where to place it

It always goes after the CHP1S microfilter: activated carbon must not work in an oil-saturated environment, and solid particle class 1 only applies with the microfilter.
You will find other sizes among the filters of the same stage.
