Tectite is a range of push-fit fittings from the British brand Pegler Yorkshire, a maker of fittings for heating, plumbing and industry. Just push the pipe into the fitting and the joint is made, with no special tools. Our TA compressed air piping for 15 to 28 mm aluminium and PA12 plastic pipes is built on Tectite fittings.
Under the TECTITE brand you will find accessories for TA piping: end and through outlet boxes with threads, couplings, valves or quick couplings, condensate drain boxes and pipe clips. The Tectite range fittings themselves are listed under the Pegler Yorkshire brand.

Tectite push-fit fittings
Push in and done. Brass straight couplings, elbows, tees, reducers and stop ends for 15 to 28 mm pipes.
- no special tools needed
- joints can be undone and the fitting reused
- a Pegler Yorkshire range
End outlet boxes
The end of the line at the workplace. A wall-mounted box fed by the pipe, with 1 to 3 outlets.
- inlet G1/2″, G3/4″ thread or 15–22 mm coupling
- outlets with G1/2″ thread or quick coupling
- version with ball valve
Through outlet boxes
An outlet mid-line. The line runs on through the box and you take air off on the way.
- pass-through with 15–22 mm couplings or threads
- 1 to 3 outlets
- version with ball valve
Condensate drain boxes
Water out of the line. A box with a drain at the bottom to release condensate from the lowest point of the line.
- G1/2″ inlet
- 1 to 3 outlets with thread or quick coupling
- PA6 nylon, up to 15 bar
Pipe clips
The pipe held firmly on the wall. Plastic clips: put the pipe in and screw the clip to the wall.
- for 15, 18, 22 and 28 mm pipes
- 6 mm screw hole
- SQ clips with 10 mm spacer
With the boxes you need pipes and fittings. The complete TA system and other piping are in our compressed air piping category.

| Type, inlet, outlets and use | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Box | Inlet | Outlets | Use |
| End box with thread | G1/2″ or G3/4″ | 1–3× G1/2″ or quick coupling | end of a threaded line |
| End box with coupling | 15, 18 or 22 mm pipe | 1–3× G1/2″ or quick coupling | end of a TA line, just push the pipe in |
| End box with coupling and valve | 15, 18 or 22 mm pipe | 1–3× G1/2″ or quick coupling | end of a line with shut-off |
| Through box | two couplings, two threads or coupling and thread | 1–3× G1/2″ or quick coupling | outlet mid-line |
| Condensate drain box | G1/2″ | 1–3× G1/2″ or quick coupling | lowest point of the line |
The boxes are made of PA6 nylon, working pressure 15 bar, temperature −10 to +50 °C. The quick couplings are DN 7.2.
How to choose and fit a box
1. End or pass-through
An end box goes at the end of the run, a through box mid-line. At the lowest point fit a condensate drain box.
2. Choose the connection
For a TA pipe choose a box with a coupling of the right size, for a thread a box with G1/2″ or G3/4″.
3. Choose the outlets
Choose 1 to 3 outlets by the number of tools. A quick coupling is ready to use, a G1/2″ thread you fit as you need.
4. Screw it on
Screw the box to the wall or frame through its holes and fix the pipes with clips.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Tectite and where do I find its fittings?
- Tectite is a range of push-fit fittings from Pegler Yorkshire. Fittings for 15 to 28 mm pipes are on the brand page Pegler Yorkshire and in the TA fittings category.
- Which pipes suit the TA system?
- Aluminium pipes or PA12 polyamide pipes of 15, 18, 22 and 28 mm. PA12 comes in 25 m coils or 4 m lengths, aluminium in 3 and 6 m lengths.
- Which quick coupling is in the box?
- Boxes with quick couplings have DN 7.2 couplings, the most common size for workshop tools.
- How do I undo a push-fit joint?
- Release the fitting with a demounting clip or pliers that press the fitting ring. Then pull the pipe out; the fitting can be reused.
- Can I connect a box to a different system?
- Yes. A box with a G1/2″ or G3/4″ thread connects to any line with the same thread, not only TA.
