Piping networks of 15 mm diameter are the smallest dimension within modular compressed air piping. They are a dependable solution for smaller operations, workshop networks or garages and stand out for easy, fast installation with no special tools. Advantages and uses of 15 mm piping
The 15 mm diameter comes into its own where large volumes of air do not have to travel long distances. It serves excellently for distributing compressed air in smaller workshops and service operations, or for connecting individual machines and workstations. It is also often used as a branch off a larger-diameter main line within a more extensive system.
Modern modular 15 mm piping systems also offer a range of advantages:
- Fast assembly with no special tools (simple push-in tube joints)
- Tight joints with no air leaks (no loss of pressure or compressor energy)
- High resistance to corrosion, UV radiation and mechanical damage
- Low weight of the piping and easy handling during installation
- Modularity – the system can be dismantled, modified or extended at any time
Thanks to these properties, a well-designed compressed air network is virtually maintenance-free and reliable in the long term.
Our 15 mm piping systems include both plastic (polyamide) tubes supplied in coils and rigid aluminium tubes in 6 m bars. Complete accessories are available – straight push-in couplings for joining tubes, branches and reducers for branching or changing diameter, threaded adapters for connecting machines, terminal boxes with outlets and clips for fixing the pipe securely to walls. This modular approach lets you extend or modify the network at any time to suit current needs.
Choosing the pipe diameter
Although 15 mm piping covers the needs of smaller applications, a larger diameter is advisable for longer routes or higher air draw. As the pipe diameter grows, the pressure loss during flow falls, which raises network efficiency – especially at more distant take-off points.

Besides the 15 mm version, we also offer piping in larger dimensions. A modest step up is offered by 18 mm and 20 mm for slightly higher flows. In the middle range we further sell tubes and fittings of 22 mm, 25 mm, 28 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm and 50 mm. For extensive industrial networks the largest dimensions 63 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm and 158 mm are intended. All these diameters use the identical modular building-block principle for compressed air distribution – they differ only in the dimension, which affects flow and pressure losses in the system.
