Product detailed description
The SPFSF-094 stainless steel sterile filter has a 0.01 µm sterile element (solid particle class 1) for the end of the filtration. It has a G 2" connection, a flow of 15,000 l/min at 7 bar and a working pressure of up to 14 bar.
It is the sterile stage of the SPF filters: the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.

Housing and dimensions

The housing is made of stainless steel 1.4404, or 1.4301 on request, with the outer surface polished to Ra 0.8 and EPDM seals (FKM or silicone on request). It withstands up to +150 °C; the actual limit depends on the element.
According to the manufacturer: height A 464 mm, width across the connections B 180 mm, housing diameter C 114.3 mm. Weight 5.3 kg.
Flow by pressure
The flow applies to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, it is multiplied by the correction factor; at 14 bar it is 1.88:
| Pressure (bar) | 4 | 7 | 10 | 14 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flow (l/min) | 9,450 | 15,000 | 20,700 | 28,200 |
Spare element
Where to place it

It goes at the end of the filtration, after the SPFM fine pre-filter and the SPFS microfilter. They trap the oil and most of the particles, so the sterile element works with clean air.
You will find other sizes and stages among the SPF filters.
