SPFS stainless steel compressed air microfilters up to 14 bar
The SPFS microfilter is the finest stage for oil. The pleated borosilicate microfibre element traps particles larger than 0.01 µm and removes oil down to a residual content below 0.01 mg/m³ — class 1-x-1 according to ISO 8573-1.
The SPFS filter comes in 12 sizes (G 1/4" to 3") with flows of 1,250 to 60,000 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 14 bar. It is one of the stages of the SPF filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.
SPFS filters by size
The size determines the connection and the flow. Each size has its own PF range spare element.

When to use it
The microfilter S is suitable wherever the air must be very clean of particles and oil. It always goes before the sterile element — it traps the oil that would clog the sterile element.
A fine pre-filter M goes before the microfilter S; it traps particles and oil down to 0.1 µm, and the microfilter element then lasts longer. The element withstands +120 °C.
The element is a coalescing one: it separates oil when the air flows through it from the inside out.
Where to place it
After the SPFM fine pre-filter, which protects it, and before the SPFSF sterile filter or the SF sterile filter.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, they are multiplied by the correction factor: 1.88 at 14 bar.

Element and maintenance
A PF range element is fitted in the housing — for example, the PFS-010V for the SPFS-010. The same element also fits the PF process filters of the same size. The working temperature of the element is +1.5 to +120 °C.
The filter is supplied with an element, without a condensate drain. You will find all elements among the PF range spare elements.
Replace the element at least once every 12 months. Once a year, also check the housing for visible damage.

Stage S also comes in process filters: PFS up to 14 bar. The elements are the same for all ranges.
Ventilek’s tip
A microfilter needs a fine pre-filter. Install the fine pre-filter M before the microfilter S. The microfilter then only deals with the finest particles, and its element lasts longer.

- A fine pre-filter M, so that the microfilter element does not clog as quickly.
- Is the microfilter sterile?
- No. Microorganisms are only trapped by the sterile element SF, which goes after the microfilter.
