5/2 air / spring
Air-piloted 5/2 valves with spring return work without electricity and go back to their home position by themselves once the pilot pressure drops. Typical uses are explosive atmospheres and wet production areas.
The valve designation reads like a fraction: the first number is the count of ports, the second the count of spool positions. Choose the actuation and reset method to match your control system — a solenoid suits electrical control, an air pilot signal works where electricity is unwelcome. Also check the port thread, the coil voltage and the flow you need.
