5/2 air / air differential
The differential version of the 5/2 valve uses pilot pistons of different areas — a single pilot signal switches it, so you run one control line instead of two. That simplifies the plumbing wherever space is tight.
The valve designation reads like a fraction: the first number is the count of ports, the second the count of spool positions. Choose the actuation and reset method to match your control system — a solenoid suits electrical control, an air pilot signal works where electricity is unwelcome. Also check the port thread, the coil voltage and the flow you need.
