5/3 pressurised centre
5/3 valves with a pressurised centre feed pressure to both sides of the piston at rest. That clamps the cylinder rigidly and lets it resist external shocks — useful in clamping and hold-down operations.
The valve designation reads like a fraction: the first number is the count of ports, the second the count of spool positions. Choose the actuation and reset method to match your control system — a solenoid suits electrical control, an air pilot signal works where electricity is unwelcome. Also check the port thread, the coil voltage and the flow you need.
