IHP1A stainless high-pressure activated carbon filters up to 100 bar
The IHP1A activated carbon filter removes residual oil, oil vapours, hydrocarbons and odours. Residual oil is below 0.005 mg/m³.
The IHP1A filter comes in 8 sizes with G 1/4" to G 2" threads and flows of 667 to 11,917 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 100 bar. It is one of the stages of the IHP1 stainless steel filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.

The size determines the thread and the flow. Each size has its own spare element.

When to use it
Activated carbon suits applications where oil vapours and odours, which a microfilter does not trap, are also a problem. It works up to +45 °C and must not be used in an oil-saturated environment.
Where to place it
Always after the IHP1S microfilter. Only with it does solid particle class 1 apply, and the carbon does not receive oil droplets.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure the filter passes more air: from 100 bar, 12 times as much as at 7 bar.

Element, drain and maintenance
The housing holds a single element, a different one for each size — for example IHPA-007V for the IHP1A-007. The same element also fits IHPA filters for a different pressure. Working temperature +1.5 to +45 °C.
The filter is supplied without a condensate drain. The TD420M timed drain up to 420 bar is suitable; it is connected to the G 1/4" opening in the bottom.
Replace the activated carbon element every 6 months — it is not replaced according to the pressure drop.

The same stage for a different pressure
Stage A also comes in the IHP2A filters up to 250 bar and IHP4A filters up to 420 bar; in the nickel-plated carbon steel version, there are the CHP1A filters.

Carbon is replaced by the calendar. Replace the activated carbon element every 6 months — unlike the other stages, it is not replaced according to the pressure drop.
- What does the activated carbon filter remove?
- Residual oil, oil vapours, hydrocarbons and odours. Residual oil is below 0.005 mg/m³.
- Why must a microfilter go before it?
- Activated carbon must not work in an oil-saturated environment. The microfilter S traps oil droplets, and only with it does solid particle class 1 apply.
- How often should the element be replaced?
- Every 6 months.

- From +1.5 to +45 °C.
