IHP1N25 stainless high-pressure coarse mesh filters up to 100 bar
The IHP1N25 coarse filter has an element of 1.4301 stainless steel mesh and traps solid particles larger than 25 µm. It is the first stage of the stainless steel range: it removes larger contaminants before they reach the finer stages.
The IHP1N25 filter comes in 8 sizes with G 1/4" to G 2" threads and flows of 667 to 11,917 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 100 bar. It is one of the stages of the IHP1 stainless steel filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.

When to use it
A coarse filter suits the start of the filtration, where larger contaminants from the compressor or the air line enter the air. It does not trap oil or vapours, and the manufacturer does not state an ISO 8573-1 class for it.
Where to place it
At the start of the filtration, before the IHP1N5 basic filter or IHP1R dust filter.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure the filter passes more air: from 100 bar, 12 times as much as at 7 bar.

Element, drain and maintenance
The housing holds a single element, a different one for each size — for example IHPN25-007V for the IHP1N25-007. The same element also fits IHPN25 filters for a different pressure. Working temperature +1.5 to +65 °C.
The filter is supplied without a condensate drain. The TD420M timed drain up to 420 bar is suitable; it is connected to the G 1/4" opening in the bottom.
Replace the element at least once every 12 months.

Stage N25 also comes in the IHP2N25 filters up to 250 bar and IHP4N25 filters up to 420 bar.

A coarse mesh spares the fine ones. When larger contaminants break loose in the air line, the N25 stainless steel mesh traps them, and the fine elements after it do not clog so quickly.
- What rating does the IHP1N25 coarse filter have?
- The mesh traps particles larger than 25 µm. The manufacturer does not state an ISO 8573-1 class for it.
- Does it also trap oil?
- No. For oil, there are the M fine pre-filters and S microfilters.
- When should the element be replaced?
- At least once every 12 months.
