The 45 kW machine at eight bar delivers 9,400 l/min — only a hundred litres less than at seven. It is the highest delivery you will get from the EPM range at ordinary industrial pressure.
Why 8 bar
Eight bar means 9,400 l/min with control down to 2,400. The difference against seven bar is about one per cent, while the extra bar costs around seven per cent in energy — on a machine of this rating that is an annual figure you can see in the budget.

Dimensions 1,530 × 1,100 × 1,370 mm, weight 890 kg, outlet R 1½" and noise 72 dB(A) are identical at all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
The nearest smaller is SCR-37/8EPM with 7,350 l/min. Above the 45 kW there is nothing left in the EPM range — it continues into EPM2 from 55 kW upwards.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Magnets instead of a cage: efficiency exceeds IE4 and takes 5 to 6 % off consumption against IE2. On a machine delivering 9,400 l/min that adds up faster than you would expect.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
The airend sits directly on the motor. A slipping belt would quietly eat into 9,400 l/min and you would only notice on the bill; here there is none.
Frequency inverter
Workshop demand fluctuates — so the inverter reduces speed instead of blowing off the excess. The machine covers the 2,400 to 9,400 l/min band without a single shutdown.
Screw airend
The new airend is quiet and efficient — on 45 kW the sixteen percent improvement shows up in consumption before it shows in noise, though that is 72 dB(A) here.
SCR9000 controller
You schedule when the machine should run and it starts and stops itself. Over RS485 you connect it to remote monitoring, and it handles a cascade of up to sixteen units.
What the machine needs in the plant room
Noise of 72 dB(A) is the highest in the range and means a separate plant room with ventilation for 9,000 m³/h. The footprint of 1,530 × 1,100 mm is the same as the 37 kW, so if you are building the plant room, build it for the 45 kW straight away — it will not ask for any more space.

On 45 kW machines it is almost always worth calculating heat recovery — in continuous operation it is the single largest saving after the inverter itself. Seven per cent of forty-five kilowatts on three-shift work is not small change. Measure the system before you set the pressure.
