The top of the EPM range set to ten bar: 8,000 l/min. It is the highest delivery available in this range at ten bar — and at the same time the setting with the narrowest control band of all eighteen.
Why 10 bar
Ten bar gives 8,000 l/min against 9,500 at seven, 16 % less. The lower control limit, however, is 3,000 l/min — a full 38 % of output. The machine will not go below that, so at low demand it will shut down and restart.

Dimensions 1,530 × 1,100 × 1,370 mm, weight 890 kg, outlet R 1½" and noise 72 dB(A) are identical at all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
The smaller SCR-37/10EPM delivers 6,500 l/min and goes down to 2,300. If your demand fluctuates, it may suit you better than the 45 kW. If less pressure would do, the same machine as SCR-45/7EPM adds 1,500 l/min.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
A closed oil circuit and a bearingless design mean one less service item. On 45 kW it adds 5–6 % of saving against an ordinary IE2 motor on top of that.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
A taper coupling transmits the power with no belt losses. On a machine meant to run daily, what matters most is what does not need checking.
Frequency inverter
It comes down to 38 % of output, that is 3,000 l/min, and does not have to cycle. The soft start puts no more load on the supply than normal running.
Screw airend
A reground profile and optimised ports. On a machine giving 8,000 l/min the airend is the one part that cannot be improved afterwards — which is why it is new.
SCR9000 controller
A graphical schematic shows what is happening inside, the service schedule reminds you about the oil change. It runs a cascade of sixteen compressors with no separate control cabinet.
What the machine needs in the plant room
Eight thousand litres a minute at ten bar is 480 m³/h. The high lower control limit (3,000 l/min) together with that volume means the machine needs either steady demand or a substantial receiver. Ventilation of 9,000 m³/h and a weight of 890 kg are fixed.

At this setting a cascade of two machines makes more sense than anywhere else in the range — precisely because of that high lower limit. The controller handles up to sixteen compressors without a master panel, as described in the SCR-EPM range. Above 45 kW the SCR-EPM2 range continues.
Only down to 3,000 l/min. If your plant goes quiet overnight, two smaller machines will be more economical than one this size.
