The 63 kW is quietly the best-value step in the EPM2 range. It stands on the same frame as the 55 kW — 1,900 × 1,350 × 1,650 mm — and weighs only 100 kg more, yet at seven bar it delivers 1,500 l/min more air.
Why 7 bar
At 7 bar it gives 14,000 l/min with regulation down to 4,000. The pressure penalty is the smallest of the whole lower half of the range in this class — between seven and ten bar the difference is only 14 %.

The dimensions of 1,900 × 1,350 × 1,650 mm, weight of 1,650 kg, DN 50 outlet and noise level of 76 dB(A) are identical across all three settings — it is one and the same machine.
How it differs from its neighbours
Against the SCR-55/7EPM2 that is 12 % more air in the same footprint. The next machine up, the SCR-75/7EPM2, means a different frame, 360 kg more weight and a DN 65 outlet instead of DN 50 — so different pipework as well.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Above IE4 level, oil-cooled in a closed circuit and with no bearings. Against an ordinary IE2 motor it saves 5 to 6 % — on 63 kW running continuously that is a difference which pays for the servicing within a year.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
No belts, gearbox or coupling. Belt tensioning and replacement disappear — on a machine delivering 14,000 l/min they would mean shutting down the whole compressor room.
Frequency inverter
It regulates steplessly from 4,000 to 14,000 l/min, down to 29 % of output, and holds pressure to within ±0.1 bar. The starting current never exceeds the rated value.
New-generation airend
A rotor profile developed in Japan, multi-point oil injection, efficiency up to 16 % better than the previous generation. Service life over 100,000 hours.
SCR9000 controller
Touchscreen, weekly schedule, operating log and protection against overload and phase imbalance. It sequences up to sixteen compressors with no master panel.
What the machine needs in the compressor room
The 63 kW asks the same of space and ventilation as the 55 kW — 15,600 m³/h and a 1,900 × 1,350 mm footprint — but delivers 14,000 l/min, or 840 m³/h. If the compressor room is still on the drawing board, prepare it for the higher class straight away.

If you are still designing the compressor room, work through the SCR-EPM2 range: the table shows where only the output changes and where the frame and connection change too. The latter usually costs more than the price difference between the machines themselves. Receivers are in the air receivers.
Between the 55 and the 63 kW you gain not one centimetre of footprint and only a hundred kilograms of weight. All you gain is air.
