Activated carbon filter Hankison F15-B-CF – G 2 1/2", 33,983 l/min oil vapour below 0.004 mg/m³ · class 1-x-1 · 11 bar
Code: F15-B-CFRelated products
Product detailed description
The Hankison NGF F15-B-CF activated carbon filter removes oil vapours, odours and tastes; residual oil in the form of vapour is below 0.004 mg/m³. It has a G 2 1/2" thread, a flow of 33,983 l/min (2,039 Nm³/h) at 7 bar and a working pressure of up to 11 bar.
It belongs to the range of Hankison NGF filters: the housing is the same for all five stages, and the stage is determined by the element with its coloured end cap.

Housing and dimensions

The housing is die-cast aluminium, chromated and protected by a polyester epoxy powder coating. The inlet and outlet are shaped as flanges with a female thread; the bowl has internal ribs along which the condensate runs down.
Dimensions according to the manufacturer: width A 230.8 mm, height B 634.4 mm, connection axis to bottom edge C 550 mm, and a clearance D of 204 mm is needed below the filter so that the bowl can be removed. Weight 8.4 kg.
Standard equipment

The filter is supplied with the CF-15 element. It has no condensate drain or pressure drop indication — there is a manual valve (ball valve) on the bowl, and the element is replaced by time.
Flow by pressure
The flow applies to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, it changes according to the correction factor; this filter works up to 11 bar:
| Pressure (bar) | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flow (l/min) | 21,409 | 25,487 | 29,905 | 33,983 | 38,400 | 46,896 |
When to use it
It is for air in contact with food and pharmaceuticals, and for process and analytical air. It does not remove methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide or other toxic gases.
Where to place it

It always goes after the HF microfilter or UF microfilter — liquid oil must not reach the activated carbon.
Element and maintenance

Replace the CF-15 activated carbon element by time: after 1,000 operating hours, within 12 months at the latest.
Filter medium

The element has the patented Venturi-Wave shape, through which air enters the element without turbulence, and a deep pleated filter medium with a large area — air passes through it with a lower pressure drop.
You will find other sizes among the filters of the same stage, and spare elements in the NGF accessories.
