BFHPM flanged fine pre-filters up to 25 bar
BFHPM flanged fine pre-filters up to 25 bar trap fine solid particles larger than 0.1 µm and oil; residual oil is below 0.1 mg/m³. They belong to the range of Omega Air BFHP flanged filters up to 25 bar: the welded carbon steel housing is the same for all stages, and the element determines the stage.
10 sizes with DN80 to DN300 flanges, flow of 1,680 to 31,400 Nm³/h at 7 bar and 1 to 20 elements. Working pressure up to 25 bar, temperature +1.5 to +65 °C. Supplied as a filter housing with elements, without a condensate drain.

The flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. All sizes use the same element; only the number of elements in the filter differs. You will find the dimensions on the product page of each filter.

When to use it
The fine pre-filter suits applications where oil in the air is a problem and class 2 for both solid particles and oil is enough — 2-x-2 according to ISO 8573-1.
For class 1-x-1, there is the microfilter S, and the fine pre-filter M goes before it: it traps particles and oil down to 0.1 µm, and the microfilter elements then last longer.
Where to place it
After the BFHPR dust filter, before the BFHPS microfilter. The 0.1 µm fine pre-filter extends the life of the microfilter, but it does not replace it.
Element, replacement and drain
Element BFM-0240V: borosilicate microfibres, pressure drop of a new element 50 mbar. Replace the elements once a year, or earlier when the pressure drop reaches 350 mbar. The pressure drop is shown by the MDHI 50 differential pressure gauge.
The condensate drain is ordered separately — for this range, the manufacturer lists the TD 50M timed drain and the AOK 50B float drain. Elements for all stages are among the BFHP spare elements.
Flow at a different pressure
The flows in the tables apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, multiply the flow by the manufacturer’s correction factor:
