AAFMS2 molecular sieve filters against moisture breakthrough
The AAFMS2 filter has an element with a molecular sieve capsule. It is a safeguard: when the adsorption dryer stops, the sieve traps the moisture that would otherwise get into the air line.
The AAFMS2 filter comes in 6 sizes with G 1/2" to 1 1/2" threads and flows of 1,300 to 13,000 l/min at 7 bar. It is one of the stages of the AAF filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.
AAFMS2 filters by size
The size number is the flow in Nm³/h at 7 bar. Each filter has a spare element, connection kits and a housing without element for your own combination.

When to use it
A molecular sieve filter suits installation after an adsorption dryer at points of use where even brief humidification of the air is not acceptable. It does not replace the dryer — it only covers the time the dryer is shut down.
Where to place it
After the adsorption dryer and the AAFS microfilter. It works up to +45 °C.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar, an ambient temperature of +20 °C and an air inlet temperature of +35 °C. At a different pressure, the flow changes according to the correction factor.

Element, drain and maintenance
Element: molecular sieve in a capsule. Working temperature +1.5 to +45 °C, pressure up to 16 bar.
The bowl has an MCD manual drain. You will find other drains among the condensate drains for filters.
The element must be replaced at least once every 6 months, earlier depending on use.
Spare elements for all stages are among the AAF elements; connection kits join the filters into a bank and fix them to the wall.

The sieve is a safeguard, not a dryer. It is designed for the time when the adsorption dryer is stopped — continuous drying remains the job of the dryer.
