Accessories for BF flanged filters: elements, drains and gauge
Accessories for BF filters: spare elements of all six stages, condensate drains and a differential pressure gauge that shows when to replace the elements.
The element is the same for all sizes of BF flanged filters — diameter 90 mm, height 760 mm. The filter size only determines how many there are: from one to twenty.

Shows the pressure drop of the elements, i.e. when to replace them.
Condensate drain
BF filters are supplied without a condensate drain. For them, the manufacturer lists a manual valve, the AOK 13PA and AOK 20B float drains, the TD 16M timed drain and electronic drains.
The AOK 13PA float drain is for pressures up to 13 bar; at a higher working pressure, choose the AOK 20B or the TD 16M timed drain.

When to replace the elements
Elements B to S are replaced at least once a year or at a pressure drop of 350 mbar — this is shown by the MDA 60 differential pressure gauge. Activated carbon elements are replaced by time, within 6 months at the latest.
The sintered element of the B coarse filter can be cleaned in an ultrasonic bath or by back-flushing. Depressurise the filter before replacing the elements.

Choose the drain by pressure. The AOK 13PA float drain only goes up to 13 bar. When the air line works at a higher pressure, choose the AOK 20B float drain or the TD 16M timed drain.

- Is a drain included with the filter?
- No, the condensate drain is ordered separately.
- How do I know it is time to replace the elements?
- By the pressure drop on the MDA 60 differential pressure gauge: elements B to S at 350 mbar, at the latest after a year. Activated carbon within 6 months at the latest.
