Pressure regulator 2", 25,000 l/min, 0.5-16 bar
Code: 417.2124Related products
Product detailed description
The EWO 417.2124 pressure regulator reduces the pressure of compressed air from the air network – up to 40 bar – to an adjustable 0.5 to 16 bar and keeps it constant even when the pressure fluctuates and air consumption is high. It is a diaphragm regulator with secondary venting: when you reduce the pressure, it releases the excess air from the outlet by itself. Two pressure gauges show the inlet and the outlet pressure.
Size BG 90, connection G 2", flow rate 25,000 l/min. It belongs to the series of large pressure regulators 417 with inlet up to 40 bar.

Dimensions and flow curve

Manufacturer’s graph for size BG 90 (measured with a G 2" connection): how the outlet pressure drops as the flow rate increases. The lines start at a set pressure of 2 to 10 bar; the inlet pressure is 2 bar higher than the outlet pressure.

Installation and adjustment
- install a high-pressure compressed air filter upstream of the regulator – dirt from the pipework would damage the valve seat
- install the regulator so that the air flows in the direction of the arrow on the body; any mounting position is possible
- the regulator weighs over 5 kg – support the pipework next to it, or fix it to a wall or frame with a mounting bracket
- set the pressure from below: loosen the handwheel to below the required value, then tighten it until the outlet pressure gauge shows the required pressure

EWO is a Stuttgart brand of compressed air fittings and oxy-fuel equipment. The company was founded by Emil Wolf in 1914, has been run by the Holzapfel family since 1938 and has carried the name ewo since 1939. It develops and manufactures in four areas: air preparation, compressed air accessories, air service equipment for workshops and filling stations, and oxy-fuel and propane welding equipment. Our range includes blow guns and nozzles, pressure regulators, air treatment units, tyre inflators and spray guns.
You will find EWO products in industry, car workshops and at filling stations. The BG269 and BG470 blow guns share the same M12 × 1.25 nozzle thread, so you can change the nozzle to suit the job. The pressure regulators cover ordinary air lines as well as high-pressure applications with inlets up to 200 bar.

Choose a regulator or air treatment unit by the flow your equipment needs and the outlet pressure you have to set.
How to choose and connect a blow gun
1. Choose the connection
Pick the gun with the connection that matches your hose: a DN 7.2 plug for a quick coupling, a 6, 9 or 13 mm hose tail, or a 1/4″ female thread.
2. Choose the nozzle
The basic nozzle gives a concentrated jet. Where noise is a problem or dirt may fly back, use a low-noise or safety nozzle, and a long nozzle to reach deep into a machine.
3. Set the pressure
The guns work at 2 to 6 bar and withstand a maximum of 10 bar. Reduce higher line pressure with a regulator upstream of the gun.
4. Hang it up and look after it
Both BG269 and BG470 guns have an eye for hanging on a balancer. Only change the nozzle with the gun disconnected from the air supply, and keep the thread clean.
Frequently asked questions
- Which nozzles fit EWO blow guns?
- The BG269 and BG470 guns have an M12 × 1.25 nozzle thread. They take the nozzles from our M12 × 1.25 nozzle category: basic, low-noise, safety, injector, long and flat.
- What is the difference between BG269A, BG269L and BG269E?
- All three are all-metal guns with a lever trigger and the same nozzles. BG269A has a forged aluminium body, BG269L a cast aluminium body, and BG269E is a forged gun with an adjustable maximum flow, for example for cooling and blowing out moulds.
- What does secondary venting on a regulator mean?
- When you lower the outlet pressure, the regulator vents the surplus air downstream by itself, so the pressure drops straight away. All EWO regulators of the 274, 280, 286, 302, 406, 417 and 120 series have it.
- When should I choose COMBIBLOC and when STANDARD?
- COMBIBLOC combines filter, regulator and lubricator in one body and takes up little space, with flow up to 3,400 l/min. STANDARD is for branch lines and high-consumption machines, with G 3/4″ to 2″ threads and flow up to 12,678 l/min.
- Is the Euroair inflator suitable for a tyre shop?
- Yes, the Euroair TGE range is designed mainly for filling stations and trade workshops. It has an 80 mm gauge in a protective cover and is also available with a calibrated gauge. The 0–25 bar range is for aircraft and special tyres.
- Where are EWO products made?
- The brand is owned by Hermann Holzapfel GmbH & Co KG, which develops and manufactures in Stuttgart, in the Stuttgart-Vaihingen industrial area since 1955. Every part goes through several inspections during production. The company has a quality management system certified to ISO 9001 and, for pressure measuring instruments, a certified production quality system (Module D) under the German Measures and Verification Ordinance.
EWO is a brand of Hermann Holzapfel GmbH & Co KG, Stuttgart; the manufacturer itself writes it in lower case as “ewo”. Technical data can be found on each product page.
