CHP1R high-pressure compressed air dust filters up to 100 bar

The CHP1R dust filter traps solid particles larger than 1 µm and liquid water. The pleated element is made of borosilicate microfibres; the air after it meets solid particle class 3 according to ISO 8573-1.
The CHP1R filter comes in 8 sizes with G 1/4" to G 2" threads and flows of 667 to 11,917 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 100 bar. It is one of the stages of the CHP1 high-pressure filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.
CHP1R filters by size
The size determines the thread and the flow. Each size has its own spare element.

The flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. Dimensions and weights according to the manufacturer; you will find further data on the product page of each filter.

When to use it
A dust filter suits use as a pre-filter before a fine pre-filter or a microfilter. On its own, it is installed after an adsorption dryer, where it traps dust from the adsorbent.
Where to place it

After the CHP1P basic filter, before the CHP1M fine pre-filter or CHP1S microfilter, or after an adsorption dryer.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure the filter passes more air: from 100 bar, 12 times as much as at 7 bar.

Element, drain and maintenance

The housing holds a single element, a different one for each size — for example CHPR-007V for the CHP1R-007. The same element also fits CHPR filters for a different pressure. Working temperature +1.5 to +65 °C.
The filter is supplied without a condensate drain. The TD420M timed drain up to 420 bar is suitable; it is connected to the G 1/4" opening in the bottom.
Replace the element at a pressure drop of 350 mbar, at least once every 12 months.
Accessories for CHP1R filters
The same stage for a different pressure
Stage R also comes in the CHP2R filters up to 250 bar and CHP4R filters up to 420 bar; in the stainless steel version, there are the IHP1R filters.
Ventilek’s tip
A dust filter after an adsorption dryer. Dust from the adsorbent can escape into the air after an adsorption dryer, and the R element traps it before it reaches the air line.
- What rating does the CHP1R dust filter have?
- 1 µm, solid particle class 3 according to ISO 8573-1.
- Does it also trap oil?
- No, the dust filter does not determine residual oil. For oil, there are the M fine pre-filters and S microfilters.
- When should the element be replaced?
- At a pressure drop of 350 mbar, at least once every 12 months.
