CHP2S high-pressure compressed air microfilters up to 250 bar
The CHP2S microfilter is the finest mechanical stage of the range. The borosilicate microfibre element traps particles larger than 0.01 µm and removes oil down to a residual content below 0.01 mg/m³ — class 1-x-1 according to ISO 8573-1.
The CHP2S filter comes in 8 sizes with G 1/4" to G 2" threads and flows of 667 to 11,917 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 250 bar. It is one of the stages of the CHP2 high-pressure filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.

The size determines the thread and the flow. Each size has its own spare element.

When to use it
The microfilter S suits all applications where the air must be very clean of particles and oil. It is also the mandatory stage before activated carbon A — only with it does its solid particle class 1 apply.
The fine pre-filter M, which traps particles and oil down to 0.1 µm, goes before the microfilter S — the microfilter element then lasts longer.
Where to place it
After the CHP2M fine pre-filter, before the CHP2A activated carbon filter.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure the filter passes more air: from 100 bar, 12 times as much as at 7 bar.

Element, drain and maintenance
The housing holds a single element, a different one for each size — for example CHPS-007V for the CHP2S-007. The same element also fits CHPS filters for a different pressure. Working temperature +1.5 to +65 °C.
The filter is supplied without a condensate drain. The TD420M timed drain up to 420 bar is suitable; it is connected to the G 1/4" opening in the bottom.
Replace the element at a pressure drop of 350 mbar, at least once every 12 months.

The same stage for a different pressure
Stage S also comes in the CHP1S filters up to 100 bar and CHP4S filters up to 420 bar; in the stainless steel version, there are the IHP2S filters.

A microfilter needs a fine pre-filter. Install the fine pre-filter M before the microfilter S. Activated carbon can then follow the microfilter and only deals with vapours and odours.

- The fine pre-filter M, so that the microfilter element does not clog so quickly.

- Yes. Solid particle class 1 for activated carbon A only applies when an S microfilter is installed before it.
