The H2 catalytic filter is the second stage of the B-AIR set. The hopcalite filling reduces carbon monoxide CO and some other substances; a second layer of the element captures dust from the filling.

The element does not remove carbon dioxide CO₂. B-AIR sets take AAF elements of the same size; for example, the BAIR-0076 set takes the AAFH2-78V element. You will find all catalytic filters among the AAFH2 catalytic filters.

For B-AIR sets, the manufacturer specifies element replacement every 3 months.

Before the catalytic element

An S microfilter must be installed before the element, and the air must have sufficiently low humidity, so a compressed air dryer belongs before the set.

Solid particle class 1 only applies with the S microfilter before it. The filter material consists of hopcalite and borosilicate microfibres. It works from +1.5 to +45 °C.

Is CO₂ removed by the element?: No. The hopcalite filling reduces the CO content; it does not remove carbon dioxide CO₂.
Why is dry air needed?: The manufacturer states that the filling needs air with sufficiently low humidity.
How often should it be replaced?: For B-AIR sets, the manufacturer specifies replacement every 3 months.
