AAFH2 catalytic filters for CO and CO₂ removal
The AAFH2 catalytic filter has an element with a hopcalite filling, which removes carbon monoxide CO and carbon dioxide CO₂ from compressed air to the level of breathable air. Residual oil is below 0.005 mg/m³.
The AAFH2 filter comes in 6 sizes with G 1/2" to 1 1/2" threads and flows of 1,300 to 13,000 l/min at 7 bar. It is one of the stages of the AAF filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.
AAFH2 filters by size
The size number is the flow in Nm³/h at 7 bar. Each filter has a spare element, connection kits and a housing without element for your own combination.

Sizes 25 and 30, 35 and 60, and 1500 and 1680 share the same element. Connection kits cover sizes up to 780. You will find the dimensions and weight on the product page of each filter.

When to use it
A catalytic filter suits applications where compressed air is used for breathing and CO and CO₂ need to be removed from it. B-AIR filters are also designed for breathable air.
Where to place it
After the AAFS microfilter; only with it does solid particle class 1 apply. It works up to +45 °C.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar, an ambient temperature of +20 °C and an air inlet temperature of +35 °C. At a different pressure, the flow changes according to the correction factor.

Element, drain and maintenance
Element: hopcalite and borosilicate microfibres. Working temperature +1.5 to +45 °C, pressure up to 16 bar.
The bowl has an MCD manual drain. You will find other drains among the condensate drains for filters.
The element must be replaced at least once every 6 months, earlier depending on use.
Spare elements for all stages are among the AAF elements; connection kits join the filters into a bank and fix them to the wall.

A microfilter goes before the catalyst. Solid particle class 1 for stage H2 only applies with an S microfilter before it.
