BFHPA flanged activated carbon filters up to 25 bar
BFHPA flanged activated carbon filters up to 25 bar remove oil vapours, hydrocarbons and odours; residual oil is below 0.005 mg/m³. They belong to the range of Omega Air BFHP flanged filters up to 25 bar: the welded carbon steel housing is the same for all stages, and the element determines the stage.
10 sizes with DN80 to DN300 flanges, flow of 1,680 to 31,400 Nm³/h at 7 bar and 1 to 20 elements. Working pressure up to 25 bar, temperature +1.5 to +45 °C. Supplied as a filter housing with elements, without a condensate drain.

The flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. All sizes use the same element; only the number of elements in the filter differs. You will find the dimensions on the product page of each filter.

When to use it
Activated carbon suits applications where oil vapours, hydrocarbons and odours, which a microfilter does not trap, are a problem. Residual oil is below 0.005 mg/m³, class 1-x-1 according to ISO 8573-1.
It works up to +45 °C and must not be used in an oil-saturated environment. The elements are replaced by time, within 6 months at the latest.
Where to place it
Always after the BFHPS microfilter. Only with it does solid particle class 1 apply, and the activated carbon does not receive oil droplets.
Element, replacement and drain
Element BFA-0240V: activated carbon, pressure drop of a new element 60 mbar. Replace activated carbon elements within 6 months at the latest. The pressure drop is shown by the MDHI 50 differential pressure gauge.
The condensate drain is ordered separately — for this range, the manufacturer lists the TD 50M timed drain and the AOK 50B float drain. Elements for all stages are among the BFHP spare elements.
Flow at a different pressure
The flows in the tables apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, multiply the flow by the manufacturer’s correction factor:
