ABAC SUITCASE suitcase compressors
5 kg in hand · 230 VSUITCASE is a compressor you carry like a suitcase: an oil-free O15 pump with 1.1 kW, a spiral hose in the compartment under the lid and one button — compressed air is wherever you happen to need it. Two versions: the SU-1.1-PM without tank at 5 kg for inflating and blowing off on the road, and the SU-1.1-6PM with a 6 l tank (10 kg), which has a regulator with gauges and also handles a stapler or small spray jobs. Both machines are in stock and we service the ABAC brand.
Without a tank, or with six litres?
They are two machines with the same pump. Three questions decide — and the answers choose for you.
Will you carry it?
You take the five-kilo SU-1.1-PM by the handle and go: a technician into a flat, a fitter onto scaffolding, a cyclist to the van. It lies flat in the boot next to the toolbox and you switch it on right there — it has rubber feet on the bottom and on the back. The ten-kilo SU-1.1-6PM you still carry in one hand, but it is already a machine you rather put down and leave standing.
What will you connect to it?
A tyre inflator and a blow gun draw air in bursts — the version without a tank is enough for those, the pump delivers 160 l/min straight into the hose. A stapler, a brad nailer for mouldings or a spray gun for small areas want a reserve: the six-litre tank evens out the draw, the motor does not start at every trigger pull, and the manufacturer lists the SUITCASE 6 as the only one of the pair for spray painting.
How much do you want to adjust?
The SU-1.1-PM has just a button — on, work, off; the pump sets the pressure itself. The SU-1.1-6PM has an outlet pressure regulator and two gauges: you set 2.5 bar for the tyre inflator, 6 for the stapler, and see how much is in the tank while doing it. Whoever works with several tools appreciates exactly that.
Both versions side by side

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Model | Version | Power | Air displacement | Pressure | Tank | Noise Lwp | Weight |
| SU-1.1-PM | without tank, button only | 1.1 kW | 160 l/min | 8 bar | none | 68 dB | 5 kg |
| SU-1.1-6PM | 6 l tank, regulator and 2 gauges | 1.1 kW | 160 l/min | 8 bar | 6 l | 68 dB | 10 kg |
Air displacement is the manufacturer's figure; the actual delivered volume of small oil-free pumps is roughly half. Noise Lwp is the sound pressure at 4 m — what you hear; the sound power Lwa is 88 dB on both machines. Both run on 230 V / 50 Hz.

What is inside the suitcase
Oil-free O15 pump
A single-cylinder direct-drive pump, 1.1 kW (1.5 HP), 2,450 rpm, 8 bar. Oil-free means no oil change, no level check and not a drop of oil in the air — neither in the tyre nor on a painted surface. ABAC puts the same pump into its portable machines with a tank.
Compartment with hose
The flip-up lid on the front hides a spiral hose with a DN 7.2 quick coupling and a place for a blow gun or tyre inflator. Nothing is carried separately and nothing tangles — you pull the hose out, connect it, and coil it back under the lid after work.
Two working positions
Rubber feet are on the bottom and on the back wall. The machine thus stands upright in the workshop and lies flat in the boot or on scaffolding; the feet also damp vibration so it does not wander across the floor.
Plug & Play
A single button. On the SU-1.1-PM it runs the pump straight into the hose; on the SU-1.1-6PM it is joined by a pressure switch that stops the machine at 8 bar and restarts it when the tank pressure drops. No settings before the first start — socket, button, air.

Accessories and service
The suitcase has the hose inside, but the tool on its end you choose by the job. The DN 7.2 quick coupling is the same standard as the hoses and guns in our whole range, so anything from it fits. ABAC belongs to the Atlas Copco group and is one of the brands we repair in our own service workshop.
- tyre inflators with gauge — Precise inflation of wheels and tyres — set the pressure and the gun keeps it.
- blow guns — For sawdust, dust and water — short and extended, metal and plastic.
- spiral hoses — A longer or spare hose when the one from the compartment is not enough.
- ABAC compressor service — Warranty and post-warranty repairs of ABAC machines in our workshop.
When the suitcase is not enough
SUITCASE is built for short jobs — top up, blow off, staple. Whoever needs air for hours, noise under 70 dB or a grinder and an impact wrench needs a different machine. The whole range with filters by power, tank and voltage is among all compressors.
- the ABAC Line trade range — Same brand, a level up: mobile machines with a 24 to 50 l tank and higher output.
- semi-professional workshop compressors — Machines for daily work in the workshop, across brands.
- small Black Wind compressors — Cheaper machines with a 6–50 l tank for home use, when extra kilograms do not bother you.
- portable compressors with a 6 l tank — All six-litre machines in the range, the SU-1.1-6PM among them.
- compressors without a pressure tank — Tankless machines across brands, when weight is what matters.
- 230 V compressors — When you need a standard socket but more output than 1.1 kW gives.
- oil-free piston compressors — Oil-free machines from 6 l to workshop sets.
Ventilek advises
The suitcase is for whoever carries air to the job — not for whoever stands next to it all day. A technician who runs up to the fourth floor without a lift, a blind fitter, a cyclist with a van. Top up, blow off, staple — and back into the boot. For a whole day of sanding reach for a machine with a big tank; this one is a sprinter, not a marathon runner. And if you are unsure about the six litres, take them: the motor rests between trigger pulls and you set the pressure exactly.
Frequently asked questions
- Is a suitcase compressor enough for inflating tyres and blowing off?
- Yes, that is what it is built for. The pump gives 160 l/min of displacement and 8 bar, which is plenty for a tyre inflator with gauge and for a blow gun — on the tankless version the air goes straight into the hose, on the six-litre one from the tank. Car, van, bicycle, wheelbarrow, inflatable boat: all in a matter of minutes.
- When to take the version without a tank and when the six-litre one?
- Without a tank (5 kg) when you will carry it and connect a tyre inflator or blow gun — tools with a burst draw. With six litres (10 kg) when you want to staple, nail mouldings or spray small areas: the tank holds a reserve, the motor starts less often and you set an exact pressure with the regulator. The manufacturer adds that the six-litre tank lets the machine work a little longer at a stretch.
- How loud is it?
- Sound power 88 dB Lwa, sound pressure 68 dB Lwp at 4 m — like an ordinary oil-free direct-drive compressor. It is not a quiet machine, but it runs only a few dozen seconds at a time: top up, blow off, and it is quiet. Whoever needs to work with a compressor in a house all afternoon is looking for a silenced machine.
- Can you spray paint with it?
- With the SU-1.1-6PM yes, on small areas: the manufacturer lists spraying only for the version with a tank. A frame, a door, a piece of furniture — with a smaller nozzle and pauses to rebuild pressure. A fence or a car body want a machine with a 50 l tank; six litres would be empty after a few seconds.
- What do I have to do with it?
- Almost nothing. The pump is oil-free, so nothing is topped up or changed. Occasionally blow the dust out of the grilles and on the SU-1.1-6PM open the valve under the tank after work and drain the condensate — that is the whole maintenance. Scanning the QR code from the label opens the manufacturer's videos on operation in the AIRTUBE app.
- What is the warranty and who repairs it?
- Two years on the machine; on the SU-1.1-6PM also 10 years against tank rust-through, on condition of regular condensate draining. ABAC is a brand of the Atlas Copco group and is among the brands we repair in our own service workshop — under warranty and after it.
The air displacement of 160 l/min is the manufacturer's figure (ABAC Suitcase leaflet 2019, data sheets 2026); the actual delivered volume is lower. Noise 88 dB Lwa / 68 dB Lwp at 4 m per the manufacturer's leaflet, speed 2,450 rpm per the importer. Prices refer to the current offer; stock changes daily.
