Ultra-fine microfilter Hankison F13-B-UF – G 2 1/2", 16,083 l/min 0.01 microns · oil below 0.001 mg/m³ · class 1-x-1 · 11 bar
Code: F13-B-UFRelated products
Product detailed description
The Hankison NGF F13-B-UF ultra-fine coalescing microfilter traps particles larger than 0.01 µm and removes oil down to a residual content below 0.001 mg/m³. It has a G 2 1/2" thread, a flow of 16,083 l/min (965 Nm³/h) at 7 bar and a working pressure of up to 11 bar.
It belongs to the range of Hankison NGF filters: the housing is the same for all five stages, and the stage is determined by the element with its coloured end cap.

Housing and dimensions

The housing is die-cast aluminium, chromated and protected by a polyester epoxy powder coating. The inlet and outlet are shaped as flanges with a female thread; the bowl has internal ribs along which the condensate runs down.
Dimensions according to the manufacturer: width A 230.8 mm, height B 634.4 mm, connection axis to bottom edge C 550 mm, and a clearance D of 204 mm is needed below the filter so that the bowl can be removed. Weight 8.4 kg.
Standard equipment

The filter is supplied with the UF-13 element, a differential pressure gauge on the head and a level-controlled electronic condensate drain.
The indicator on the head monitors the pressure drop of the element: as the element clogs, the pressure drop rises. However, also replace the element by time, even if the indicator does not yet signal it.
Flow by pressure
The flow applies to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, it changes according to the correction factor; this filter works up to 11 bar:
| Pressure (bar) | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flow (l/min) | 10,132 | 12,062 | 14,153 | 16,083 | 18,173 | 22,194 |
When to use it
It is for practically oil-free air: powder coating, mould blow-off, pneumatic instruments, air bearings, pneumatic conveying and electronics manufacturing.
Where to place it

It goes after the PF dust filter, possibly also after the HF microfilter, and before CF activated carbon.
Element and maintenance

Replace the UF-13 element (yellow end cap) after 3,000 operating hours, within 12 months at the latest, or at a pressure drop of 400 mbar.
Filter medium

The element has the patented Venturi-Wave shape, through which air enters the element without turbulence, and a deep pleated filter medium with a large area — air passes through it with a lower pressure drop.
You will find other sizes among the filters of the same stage, and spare elements in the NGF accessories.
