The AAFHTC-198 high-temperature cyclone separator is the first stage of the AAFHT range: instead of a filter element, it has a cyclone element. It has a 1" female thread and a flow of 3,300 l/min at 7 bar.
It is designed for high-temperature compressed air: it works up to 13 bar at a temperature of +1.5 to +85 °C, or up to 10 bar at a temperature of +1.5 to +120 °C.
It belongs to the range of Omega Air AAFHT filters for high temperatures, which the manufacturer intends for removing solid contaminants, water and oil aerosols from compressed air. It is supplied as a housing with a cyclone element and an MCD manual condensate drain.

Flow by pressure
The flow applies to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a different pressure, it changes according to the manufacturer’s correction factor:

Above 10 bar, the maximum working temperature is +85 °C. For other conditions, such as a different temperature, the flow has to be recalculated — contact us.
Where to place it
It goes at the start, before the filters of the range. It is followed by the pre-filters for coarser contaminants — the N25 mesh pre-filter, B coarse filter or N5 mesh pre-filter — and then by the finer stages.
