The tank holds only 2.5 l, so this is not about a reserve of air — it is a machine that makes air on the spot, where you happen to need it.
When two and a half litres are enough
A small tank means the engine runs almost continuously, so the machine is built for one tool used intermittently: a tyre inflator, a blow gun, a stapler. Its strengths are weight and size — 620 × 410 × 480 mm fits in a car boot.
As soon as you need the air to last a moment with the engine stopped, take a bigger tank. The four-litre EA5-3,5-4RP already runs more calmly, and the twenty-litre EA5-3,5-20RP handles short peaks without the engine going flat out.
