50 l · 9 bar · 65 dB at 4 mThe biggest reserve in the quiet range. The OS20P-1.5-50CM has a horizontal 50 l tank and still weighs only 32 kg: a decorating gun, a ratchet wrench or long blowing off draw on it without the pump starting straight away, and the two pistons of the 1.5 kW pump at 1,420 rpm top it up oil-free to 9 bar at their leisure between jobs — 85 dB Lwa, 65 dB at 4 m. In a studio or a workshop it stands by the bench, wheels out to the car and runs from an ordinary socket.
When fifty litres makes sense with a quiet pump
The tank does not add displacement, but it gives the pump time — and with a quiet machine, peace as well: from fifty litres a decorating gun or a tyre inflator doing all four wheels draws air for longer before the pressure drops to the switch threshold. The pump then runs in longer cycles with longer pauses, so it starts less often and you hear it less often. The price is a machine 81 cm long that weighs 32 kg; round the workshop it goes by the handle, into the car with two of you. If you want an impact wrench or to spray a whole car on those fifty litres, you need a stronger pump and a continuous draw — that is another range altogether.

If half the reserve will do and you want to save eight kilos, take the OS20P-1.5-24CM.
