HPFR stainless steel dust filters up to 50 bar

The HPFR dust filter has a pleated element of borosilicate microfibres and traps solid particles and dust larger than 1 µm — solid particle class 3 according to ISO 8573-1. The element withstands +120 °C.
The HPFR filter comes in 8 sizes (G 1/2" to 3") with flows of 2,500 to 40,000 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 50 bar. It is one of the stages of the HPF filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.
HPFR filters by size
The size determines the connection and the flow. Each size has its own PF range spare element.

When to use it
The dust filter R is suitable where the air must be free of dust and fine solid particles but oil is not a problem. The manufacturer does not state an oil class for it — oil aerosol is handled by the fine pre-filter M.
Like the fine pre-filter and the microfilter, the element is made of borosilicate microfibres and withstands +120 °C.
Where to place it

After the HPFP fibre pre-filter or the HPFN5 basic filter, before the HPFM fine pre-filter.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure the filter passes more air — 6.38 times as much at 50 bar.

Element, condensate drainage and maintenance

A PF range element is fitted in the housing — for example, the PFR-010V for the HPFR-010. The same element also fits the PFR-010, WFITR-010, WFIFR-010, WFIWR-010 and WHFITR-010. Element working temperature +1.5 to +120 °C.
The filter is supplied with an element, without a condensate drain. For HPF filters, the manufacturer offers the AOK50SS stainless steel float drain up to 50 bar, recommended from 10 bar, or the TD420M timed drain with a G 1/4" thread. The drain outlet in the bottom has a G 1/4" thread.
Replace the element at least once every 12 months. Once a year, also check the housing for visible damage.

The same stage in other ranges
Stage R also comes in the PFR filters up to 14 bar, WFITR filters up to 14 bar, WFIFR filters up to 14 bar, WFIWR filters up to 14 bar and WHFITR filters up to 50 bar. The elements are the same for all ranges.
Ventilek’s tip
Dust, or oil too? The class 3 dust filter R traps dust down to 1 µm. If oil aerosol is also a problem, add a fine pre-filter M after it.
- What filtration rating does the HPFR dust filter have?
- The element traps particles larger than 1 µm, solid particle class 3 according to ISO 8573-1.
- What temperature does it withstand?
- The element from +1.5 to +120 °C.
- When should the element be replaced?
- At least once every 12 months.
