CHP2P basic high-pressure compressed air filters up to 250 bar
The CHP2P basic filter traps solid particles larger than 3 µm and liquid water. The pleated element is made of acrylic fibres and cellulose; the air after it meets solid particle class 6 according to ISO 8573-1.
The CHP2P filter comes in 8 sizes with G 1/4" to G 2" threads and flows of 667 to 11,917 l/min at 7 bar; working pressure up to 250 bar. It is one of the stages of the CHP2 high-pressure filters — the housing is the same for all stages, only the element differs.

The size determines the thread and the flow. Each size has its own spare element.

When to use it
A basic filter is enough where the main concern is solid contaminants and oil in the air does not matter. It most often serves as a pre-filter before the fine pre-filter and the microfilter, which then last longer.
Where to place it
After the CHP2B coarse filter or directly at the start of the filtration, before the CHP2R dust filter or CHP2M fine pre-filter.
Flow by pressure
The catalogue flows apply to a pressure of 7 bar and a temperature of +20 °C. At a higher pressure the filter passes more air: from 100 bar, 12 times as much as at 7 bar.

Element, drain and maintenance
The housing holds a single element, a different one for each size — for example CHPP-007V for the CHP2P-007. The same element also fits CHPP filters for a different pressure. Working temperature +1.5 to +65 °C.
The filter is supplied without a condensate drain. The TD420M timed drain up to 420 bar is suitable; it is connected to the G 1/4" opening in the bottom.
Replace the element at a pressure drop of 350 mbar, at least once every 12 months.

Stage P also comes in the CHP1P filters up to 100 bar and CHP4P filters up to 420 bar.

For contaminants, the basic stage is enough. When the air does not have to be oil-free, the basic filter P will do. For oil, add the fine pre-filter M and the microfilter S after it.

- No, the basic filter does not determine residual oil. For oil, there are the M fine pre-filters and S microfilters.
- When should the element be replaced?
