SCR-132/10EPM2 screw compressor motor power input 132 kW, supplied pressure 10 bar, volumetric flow rate 1410 Nm3/h
Code: SCR-132/10EPM2Related products
Product detailed description
The 132 kW at ten bar delivers 23,000 l/min — slightly more than the 110 kW at the same pressure, but at the cost of a taller enclosure and more ventilation. It is the setting where you pay the most for pressure anywhere in the range.
Why 10 bar
Ten bar means 23,000 l/min against 30,000 at seven. The 23 % loss is the highest in the range — on no other machine do three bar cost this much air. Regulation goes down to 6,500 l/min.
| The same 132 kW machine at three pressure settings | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Order code | Pressure | Free air delivery (l/min) | Loss against 7 bar |
| SCR-132/7EPM2 | 7 bar | 8,300 – 30,000 | 0 % |
| SCR-132/8EPM2 | 8 bar | 7,500 – 28,000 | 7 % |
| SCR-132/10EPM2 — this machine | 10 bar | 6,500 – 23,000 | 23 % |
The dimensions of 2,700 × 1,650 × 2,150 mm, weight of 3,050 kg, DN 80 outlet and noise level of 78 dB(A) are identical across all three settings — it is one and the same machine.

How it differs from its neighbours
The smaller SCR-110/10EPM2 gives 21,000 l/min and fits under a lower ceiling. The larger SCR-160/10EPM2 adds 4,000 l/min in an identical frame. If less pressure would do, the same machine as the SCR-132/7EPM2 gives 7,000 l/min more.
What is inside
Permanent magnet motor
Oil cooling in a closed circuit, IP65 protection, a design with no bearings. On 132 kW a saving of 5–6 % against IE2 is a figure you can see in the budget.
Direct drive through a taper coupling
No belts and no gearbox. On 132 kW a slipping belt would mean a loss of output that nobody notices until the electricity bill arrives.
Frequency inverter
Instead of blowing off the excess it reduces speed: 6,500 to 23,000 l/min steplessly, a floor at 28 % of output, pressure still within ±0.1 bar.
New-generation airend
A reground rotor profile and optimised ports. On a machine giving 23,000 l/min, every percent of efficiency means a different sum than it would on a small compressor.
SCR9000 controller
A graphical schematic of the machine, a service schedule and remote monitoring over RS485. A cascade of sixteen machines with no separate control cabinet.
What the machine needs in the compressor room
Ten bar, 23,000 l/min, or 1,380 m³/h, with ventilation of 25,000 m³/h. The combination of the highest pressure penalty in the range and a large cooling demand makes this setting the most expensive to run of all twenty-one — check that you genuinely need ten bar.

Equipment
- permanent magnet motor above IE4 level, oil-cooled in a closed circuit, IP65 protection, no bearings
- direct drive through a taper coupling — no belts, gearbox or coupling
- vector-controlled frequency inverter, regulation across 25 to 100 % of speed
- the cooling fan is inverter-driven as well
- new screw airend with a rotor profile developed in Japan, service life over 100,000 hours
- SCR9000 controller with touchscreen, weekly schedule and cascade of up to 16 machines
- intake nanofilter with 99.9 % retention, 0.1 µm oil filter
- oversized separator holding residual oil below 3 ppm
- all-steel internal pipework instead of rubber hoses
- soft start — the current never exceeds the rated value
Seven thousand litres a minute is a difference worth walking the whole installation for, to establish whether ten bar is genuinely needed. The comparison of all the pressures is in the SCR-EPM2 range; we will calculate the consumption across the country.
It is the most expensive pressure tax in the range. If only one consumer wanted ten bar, it will be cheaper to boost the pressure at that machine instead.

Shanghai Screw Compressor Co., Ltd(SCR) is a manufacturing company founded in 2000, focusing on innovation, research, development, production, sales and service in the field of industrial compressors. The SCR production plant is a modern facility with more than 250 employees on an area of over 80,000m2. More than 10% of the staff is in the engineering division with a focus on research and development.
SCR's product portfolio consists of energy-efficient screw compressors, including oil-free and two-stage solutions. SCR manufactures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards, holds CE certification for the European market, UL for the US market, Class Zero certification for oil-free machines and the performance of all machines manufactured is audited by SGS.
After more than 20 years of development, SCR has entered into strategic collaborations with many partners and its products are exported to more than 80 countries worldwide.
In 2018, SCR entered into a strategic cooperation in the form of a joint venture with Japanese manufacturer Anest Iwata, which has implemented its quality and technology control system at SCR, helping to develop and bring new, energy-efficient solutions and even more reliable compressors to the market.
